Where is the instruction for the file size limit? I can only get to the general rules of the contest. Are you not suppose to have any background for your characters? Seems to me like no one is putting in backgrounds.
Seriously. There’s guys out there who can demolish a lot of digital artists with just paper and an ink pen. Travis Charest immeadiately comes to mind.
i didnt say photoshop is skills, but lets face it. most art contests are looking for that, whether they say it or not. it gives a cleaner look
If you are using coloured pencils, then maybe you have a point (but it’s still not impossible), but if you can use other mediums like acrylics or water colours, then you’re laughing. I agree with Dreaded Fist, Photoshop is just a tool.
I can’t enter either with the US restriction. I can’t seem to view the entries, it appears for a split second then vanishes.

well i never said that photoshop means skills. and yes you can win without photoshop, but color pencils and water colours is hard as well, very permanent. thats why i always give those guys who dont photoshop a lot of props. photoshop isnt easy work, but neither is doing it without photoshop.

If you click on fanart, the link is at the bottom and they will explain the rules from there. Yeah, the website design is wack. Took me some time to realize the globe on the right hand side opens up and you can navigate fro there.
