For anyone that has already installed successfully, is there a specific gauge to use when you have to strip the outer casing from the USB wire and the 4 colored wires inside?
I want to grab a wire cutter with the correct specs so the install goes smoothly this weekend, and any input on this would be appreciated.
Toodles, do you plan to upgrade your current pcb’s for future consoles if possible? For example: Firmware upgrade VLX Kitty to include WiiU or PS4 support.
If I can, I will. But I wont know if I can until they actually exist.
Dont buy my stuff for what it may someday do. Buy it for what it does when you buy it. I make no promises.
I’ve just installed the te kitty on a TE - S stick. I’m in the testing step of the guide (step 12) and the only thing wrong is that the home button is flashing all 4 leds. This is after putting the slider to RS and holding the turbo button when plugging it into the PC. The buttons do match the leds and holding the turbo button does make them stay on and pressing them again does make them go brighter. The upper left led is not lit as the guide says but all 4 leds are flashing. The stick shows up as Super sf4 fight stick TE-S in the control applet but does not let me test. I tried reinstalling drivers and nothing.
Update:
I plugged in the joystick to an xbox 360 and it worked just fine, including the stick. I plugged it back into my pc with the slider at RS and holding down turbo and now the first and 4th led are lit on the home button. Nothing shows up when I run control joy.cpl. The stick is listed as G in the control panel.
You sure you’re holding Turbo? Because the first and fourth and the ‘G’ in the control panel is the bootloader, which means Guide was pressed.
But if it works properly on both consoles, you’re good. Pack it up.
Your stuff is worth it for the current features no doubt. Just wondering if future upgrades were possible and if it were something you would consider. Thanks!
Yeah i was holding the turbo button. Just tested it with mvc2 on ps3 with the slider on LP and it worked. I guess it won’t work on my pc in the RS xbox mode or w/e. But it works just by plugging it in on my pc.
Open up the control panel properties for the stick in Kitty mode, and check if the Turbo button activates button #13. That should only be activated by the Guide button.
