I have a problem, I have an original pcb board or TE, but dare not buy I have loose wires. can you buy suletos?. Toodle you can sell the pcb with the kitty.

Im not sure I understand. You have the original TE pcb, but you dont have the ribbon cables that came with it? I dont have cables to replace the original ones.

No, it will not. It may require an additional wire harness like the TE-S, but I dont think it’s worth it at this point.

AE should work just fine with a Chimp, but the config doesn’t like it the way the stick reports as both X/Y axis and POV hat. What you need to do is exit AE, unplug the stick, plug the stick in with Select held down, start up the AE’s controller config program, set all of the buttons and directions and play. Once you do that once, you dont have to sweat it ever again, just plug in and play like normal.

The problem that came to mind was that the buttons worked fine and only the joystick itself didn’t function, which is a common problem with AE.

Anyway, on the VLX, you will need to use jdm’s instructions.

jdm is right. Unplug the stick, hold down select, plug it in, then go to the configuration of AE. If the directions dont register, do it again using Start instead of select. Once you have it configged, you dont have to do it again.

Arrrrgh, looks like I’m a dumbass. I’m sorry, it didn’t read 0, it read “0L.” Or, more correctly, “OL.” Which is how it indicates infinite resistance.

To answer your new question: When the probes aren’t touching, OL is what the display reads. And that’s also what I get when I check D-. Touching the probes together gets me 0.0 ohms.

To reanswer your last question, I’m getting about 6 - 6.5 ohms on D+. I’m getting “OL” on D-.

Board tested, the 4066 chip had a bad gate on that one line. Replaced the chip, tested fine. Your fixed board is back on its way to you. Sorry for the problems man.

Hypothetical here. Would it be possible to just straight up replace a PS3 TE pcb with this, and get the same functionality (turbo, home, etc.)? I see the same ribbon connectors and such. 2nd part of that, if one were to do such a thing, would it be possible to dualmod this with a MC X360 FightPad pcb and get the functionality of the PS3 TE control panel’s turbo/home to work with it? Last bit, would the VLX Kitty work with the VX? Thanks!

For some reason the buttons don’t work when I start up AE PC (can’t skip logos), I have to use the keyboard to get into the games menus before the joystick works. Is this normal?

Just wanted to provide some feedback for Toodles, and the TE-S Kitty.

Once payment was sent, the kitty was sent promptly and arrived quickly.
Installation was very simple and everything works as it should.

Seems to be, mine works the same way. I have to mash Enter on the keyboard to get to the SSF4 splash screen, and again to get to the actual menu. Once there, moving the stick kicks it into shape and everythings fine.
