Hey guys. Living up in Cumming, GA here. Trying to find some fights going down, but not a lot of success coming my way. Mostly been playing MvC3 and MK9, but I’m really just trying to hook into a local scene.
Thinking about checking out Battle and Brew to see what they’re all about. Anyone north of the perimeter know of anything?
Today’s a good day to come to B&B, they’re having SSFIV this week & Marvel the week after if I’m correct & the turnouts are usually pretty sizeable.
Hey Guys i am trying to get a big tournament together for July or August in Greenville SC, and I mean big the venue i am renting will hold a maxium of 350 people!!! Plenty of room for all of us, Food will be availible as well. We are going to be holding it at a hotel and the manager of the hotel will cut me a break on the ball room if we can get some people to stay there. He is discounting down a room rate to $49 from $79. I was hoping that after the tournament was over we could stay for casuals and everone would only have to go to their rooms instead of having to worry about driving home. I am advertising this heavily at at a lot of places and trying to secure sponsorships so we can have prizes as well as cash prizes. I am also working on setting up a stream.
I have a few questions though on this,
there are two dates that they have availible July 16th and August 20th, does any one see any conflict with either date?
Second if i did this how many of you would consider renting a room for the night?

The only tournament i heavily advertised was in April of 08 and we ended up with over 100 people, i want this to be on that level or bigger.
If there’s Mahvel 2 and I can catch a ride I’m in
Would it be one day or a weekend and if one day, what games would be there?

We will probably have other side tournaments based on demand (AH3, 3rd strike, Mvc2, SC2, BB ect.) but we are still planning that i am just getting a feel for turnout on the room rentals to decide venue fees(no more than $10) and to try and secure sponsors.
If there’s AH3 I’d be there.
Hey whatsup man? I live near you, and I’m always looking to get some games in when I’m free. I play Super, Marvel, and MK. I live near the Mall of Georgia, if you know where that is. Definitely check out Battle and Brew, either tonight or next week. It’s a bit of a drive, but not that bad, and it’s worth it.

About the Greenville tourney, Augusta should be there in full force since Greenville tournaments are fun!

Till just this year people were STILL dying to get Mirror Force. Then the released the Marik structure deck.
Thats another thing that pissed me off, all the cards you work hard to get eventually get released as pre-con commons. I wonder if Gold Sarcophagus is in a pre-con yet.
It makes sense that way though, considering the people that had their parents buy them more cards(like mine) are the ones with the better decks(like mine).
I had the best deck in our school purely because my parents bought me more cards.
