There was a vid posted about a week ago in which a dev said Inferno is meant to be solo’d but it wouldn’t be easy. To be honest, kiting around mobs as melee 90% of the time is NOT fun; IT’S BORING. If they want Inferno to be as hard for everyone as it is for Barbs right now, they should really rethink how they want melee to approach Inferno. I don’t mind being forced to kite sometimes, but not 90% of every champion pack.

lo and behold, within 5 mins my shit was back in my AH. I am thinking this game will be buggy as fuck, and EVERY last bit of updating/patching ability will be to remove over powerful abilities, and fix the AH’s. Ugh :frowning:

and yeah, Melee is fucked, simply because all your armor and protections mean dick all, if 90% of the mobs have either electric, reflect damage, immune/invulnerable, and can either poison, burn, or set fires under you. These issues SLAUGHTER melee characters, especially when you also have to deal with lag, swarming, and other nonsense

It is supposed to be a grind for the best equipment. Grinding isn’t fun (killing Baal/Meph/Pendle/etc. for hours on end was extremely boring) otherwise everyone would be doing it. That’s why the AH exists. So you can have fun off of other people’s grinding.

I just switched it back to the rune that makes me do more damage. Serenity with heal, heal, 7 sided strike, dodging out the ass, there are more than enough ways for the monk to be safe.

Liquid Rainbow is a mother fucking WHORE to find. Done like 100 runs of the Oasis, found the cave like 4 times, no chest either time :frowning:

I still am having fun with game, right now it’s like 1 shot one kill mode, but I still manage to get a unique kill while being completely glass cannon in the short time i played after the hotfix. But it just seems unneccessary since there were a lot of things that counter everything that was nerf already.

The DH does not have unlimited discipline, and if reading comments from people who completed inferno with DH, it takes quite a bit of skill and luck in trying to manage your disc use and timing it right before you get hit. At least it still breaks roots.

Monks even with the mantra, just let them survive for a few seconds longer. Just yesterday, SpiritJuice had to high tail it out there and act as bait in a Benny Hill skit while we tried to kite some uniques down. All it did was not let him get instagibbed, so he could at least run around to live to fight longer. You can’t contribute to a fight dead.

The wiz gets blown up by dots. Slime spewers and uniques with dots instagib a force rune wiz and we have to play extremely carefully. Also mobs that are fast in general will hit you fast enough that you probably would die before you get a 2nd diamond skin activation, even with critical mass. I also can only dps reflect damage mobs when I have diamond skin up or else I take chunks of life off myself.

The people who already beat inferno admitted that they had to run from uniques and just tried to beat the game. But the difference is, that we are intentionally trying to seek the uniques to kill them. Sure these skills made it much easier to speedrun, but in an actual fight it still takes a lot of work.

I don’t think gear should always be the end-all for games like this imo. It would be nice if people could utilize skill to at least overcome their disadvantage, sort of how many people gimp themselves for a challenge like the iron mans done in d2. SpiritJuice and I couldn’t dps some unique mobs in Act 2 before enrage kicked it. So we decided to try to focus one at a time, kill as many as we can, then let them heal up to reset the timer. We couldn’t kamikaze or have him tank it too, so it ended up being him tanking in spurts and then kiting to heal, while I go full dps when he’s tanking and trying tick at them when he was healing.

Cool, I like how people get nerfed for Inferno rather than characters getting buffed.

Looks like it’s only a quick fix until some sort of extended maintenance seeing as how the tooltips remain the same.

Still rocking that Barb even though DPS for him stands for Deaths Per Second, but seriously it’s just too fun chucking axes at enemies.

I don’t mind nerfs at a later date once information is gathered, but I feel as if hotfixes after week one of the game are a bit rushed. I’ll give them fixing Fists of Thunder + Quickening since it was a bug, but I feel as if everything else wasn’t needed just yet.

The rollback would roll your level 60 character back to 58. All items and gold acquired between that time will be lost. Your level 3 Barbarian will also be removed from the account. Rollbacks are account wide and affect all characters on an account. If you would still like to go through with this rollback, you can update this ticket with your confirmation.

Huehue…I’d lose more than I’d gain. All my 60 gear would be lost, and most of the money I made would be gone anyway. The snapshot would be sometime on Friday evening. I was hacked Sunday. Apparently the system they have in place isn’t that great at recovering your stuff…regardless, I appreciate them giving me a clear idea. Also, I’d lose my level 3 Barb. JESUS.

Considering I found a yellow crossbow that should sell for at least a million, I’ll just suck it up and keep playing. Oh well.

I remember Blizzard saying shit like 2.3 TRILLION build combos! Play how you WANT to play! Viable classes EVERYWHERE! No. Players aren’t even looking for optimal builds. They’re just looking for something that helps them survive the game.

Oh and people better not all run to the RMAH once that launches and the fake money AH dries up aside from low level items. Everyone who owns a copy of the game can be a seller vs not many people are going to buy (who buys virtual items anyway). Especially when there won’t be any public leader boards for PvP, so there goes one major incentive to boost your character.
