Of course, it* does* bear reiterating.
If I’m not mistaken, doesn’t Sager also come with a clean install of Windows?
Option-select, on that front.
Though you get an actual disc copy, if you do purchase it installed.
Good look out.
I’m going to buy a 5th laptop, what do you think about this:

This one won’t be gaming, just messing around with multiple VMs. Is the wireless selection worth upgrading? I get the 3 year accidental warranty because I travel often and **** happens. I had/have a couple Dells without accidental warranty and Dell support has far surpassed over 500 dollars of my time. Their business support was/is good though.
Tuesday! DEEEEEEEE THREEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
I think that if I were in the market to get a new laptop, that is precisely what I’d get.
Except I’d probably remove the Sager branding.
Because I’m silly like that.
And MAYBE go matte 95% color gamut.
But I do art.
The 16 gigs of RAM is always nice, but I’d get an mSATA SSD first - just not theirs, because Crucial has some 128 gigs ones at an obscenely low price point right now ($1 per gig, about).
Be Korean and don’t eat anything at all. You might just hit 60 before you die!
Pretty beefy specs but if your not on the go for business a lot a desktop is a better value.
That should play D3 more than fine though. Big price tag seems to mainly be for that shiny ivy bridge processor and 675M gpu. You could probably do a small downgrade and get better bang for you buck since that has pretty top of the line features at this time.
Nearly 2k and no ssd just seems like a bit of a jip to me. You aren’t going to be using 16 gb of ram on a laptop. Getting over 8 is completely superfluous unless your doing simulation / Intensive CAD work.
I like ibuypower.com for custom laptops and was a happy customer the one time I used them. Really good warranty / customer service.
I mean this link is to a default build and seems to be giving you better bang for your buck and you get options.
At http://www.powernotebooks.com/ and the one in the previous post they already have intel ivy bridge laptops with up to 32 GB of RAM.
At work we have to buy Dell,
I am pissed at Dell once again because their desktops only support up to 16 GB of ram with the new intel ivy bridge processors. Money grubbing mother fuckers. I’m going to do my best to get another company to make my next work computer.
VMs rape my 8g laptops.
Yea, I was going to SSD for OS and use small HDD for data and larger files on externals and fileserv but then saw the price per gig and the Jew in me went HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL NO.
Got a link for that 128g SSD from Crucial? If I can just get it cheap and throw it in the NP9150 and make it my system drive that would be great.
As I said, INSANE deal.
Especially considering the quality.

I have this.
It’s worth every penny.
Damn, 256 for $243. When I select Sager though I’m not seeing the NP9150 to check for compatibility issues.
god dam, SSDs have sure fell in price. i should start looking into getting one myself…hmm maybe next year after i trick out my RSX.
and since when turned the Diablo III thread into a laptop consultation thread? ;p
4 a.m over hear, meaning 20 hours to go.
Sadly, I can’t play till tuesday midday tho =/… but at least I have free time till the end of summer afterwards.
So I didn’t preorder the game and was thinking of trying to snatch it up on tuesday, since I was away at school so I couldn’t reserve it around my home. Does the physical copy come with anything special? Cause if it doesn’t I could start downloading digital copy.
This game is a colossal waste of time without PvP if you ask me. No offense to all you PvM guys out there but Diablo has always sucked as a PvM experience IMHO. I really can’ see why anyone would subject themselves to the giant waste of a time that it would be to play through D3 four times without the end goal of making your character stronger for PvP. You can say the challenge but what challenged is there really in dumb AI monsters that just get more HP and Damage in the higher difficulties. You can make anything hard by making the room for error smaller by adjusting Health and Damage but that still lacks any real strategy or execution.
More power to you guys who are going to play D3 without a PvP element and spend all that money before the inevitable expansions get released. I’m just don’t feel like getting got over nostalgia. I know what made D2 fun for me and I know what didn’t When D3: Lord of Destruction gets released next year with 2 new classes, balance updates, and PvP changes I might jump in but out of the Box D3 with no PvP, there is not a chance in Hell Cows I’m ever going to buy that.
you do realize that PvP comes with a free patch, not with the add on?
I’m gearing up just for PvP. Have fun catching up when it gets released later on.
not that I’m aware of other then a manual.
If you want PvP then check out the videos on this page:
D2 + HC + TPPK made so many people ragequit.
lol
he thinks diablo is about pvp
