Official Diablo 4 Thread : Hype train departing

a bow with a good quiver. stack lots of aspd, and crit damage. makes nether tentacles retarded…

I actually thought about it for a bit after posting that, and this is close to the conclusion I came too.

well simplest way to put it don’t go out of your way to stack HP, Def or resist and just go all for as high as DPS you can.

hey I wanted in, I just was a bit too late. loved getting free XP though and scouring the merchants for gear.

To add to this for DH if they are going pure glass cannon, my brother’s DH sometimes survived the Butcher’s spread chains. So it was random when he died. But after he does a charge there is a good chance he would spread chain, so you must ss right after he charges to not get one shotted. Then he killed the butcher without getting hit once The rest is just evading and positioning (some luck with the fire grates too). Though there is some weird things where you can make him “break sequence” (probably by stunning him mid animation and junk like that) and he would through a spread chain at a random other time, but if you usually fight normally, then he would follow the normal sequence of events.

If all else fails I can help people do stuff on inferno, but I put no guarantee on my success rate.

Also I’m so happy I beat Rakanoth in the cheesiest way possible on inferno. That guy can EAT A DICK!:nunchuck:

Got to act 3 hell on hardcore, my wiz is lvl 60 and i shit bricks when i see vortex/mortar/invul now. Mob difficulty goes up so much moving from act to act, I think it’ll be wiser for me to start farming act 1/2 more for some resist gear, mine is pretty piss poor atm. Damn AH prices on HC is fucking ridiculous, need at least 2 million to upgrade a single piece of gear, thank god for neph valor.

I tried kiting WD, no bueno for me. I have to get in their face and stay close and around the action.
All opinions of the game before Inferno Act 3 is invalid.

what build you using?

LMAO.

That is so wrong, on so many levels, it isn’t even funny.

For that to be an even remotely fair assessment, would require the co-assertion that:

Diablo 3 before Act 3 Inferno, as a game, is invalid.

That assertion is an assertion of Diablo 3 being a bad game.

How was the national spelling bee? What place did you get?

There is nothing wrong with what he said. He is saying that all builds are nothing once you hit inferno. The early stages are meant to slowly build you up to it. People post their builds and specs but then you ask them what level are they one and they will say something like hell or nightmare

A group of mobs in act 1 INF mode is far more dangerous than a group in last act of nightmare.

I dont know if you got back on reth but i went to bed :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve been farming act 2’s Acient Path goblin for gear to sell. Are there better farming spots for act 2? It seems like I have to sell my stuff super cheap just to move it. Oh, are lvl 10 4-attribute smith books worth anything?

Higher than you, apparently.

And I didn’t even compete.

You come back and post in this thread a lot, for a guy who uninstalled the game before he even made it to Inferno

Just like Diablo 3!!!

I need to get to act 3. I think I need to get way better gear to deal with Belial. Even with kiting and such, I am getting murdered at the end of Act 2.

Just like in the “meathook self-sodomy” competition.

Just like in the “roll the fat bitch in flour, and look for the wet spot with the red welts” battle royale.

Just like The Hunger Games marathon.

Not competing is sometimes the wiser path.

Then perhaps another thread would be more to your liking? I’ve already spent enough time detailing how wrong you are in this argument.

Should I be using Nether Tentacles? I have been using the knife, with the knockback/stun rune. Ideally, what should my setup be? Is vault even that useful in Inferno?

I also don’t like that you can’t search for Attack Speed % with quivers, even though its a legit property for them (or how you can search for bracers with sockets even though there are none that I know of)

Depends on you really. I was using Multishot before and it was really effective at clearing mobs but I hate that you can only fire like 3 of them before your hatred runs out. Then I tried the elemental arrow with the fear rune, that one is pretty good at keeping your distance. What I like about Nether Tentacles is that its so slow it hits the monsters multiple times, especially the big ones.

Damn. I think I’ll have a heart attack if I play hardcore mode.

I use multishot. Right now my left to right on my hud is:

  1. smoke screen (with rune that makes it last longer)
  2. vault (with fire rune). Thinking about switching this out to Caltrops with Immobilizing rune, as I’ve been told by MANY people this is essential for Inferno…should I?
  3. preparation (with battle scars rune, should I switch the rune on this?)
  4. multishot, with fire at will rune (so I can use it several times and usually wipe out most mob groups, and also anything that moves REALLY fast that my L/R click cant hit)
    L) Bola Shot (with the discipline regen rune, although I sometimes switch this to volatile rune, depending on where I am in the game)
    R) Impale with impact rune (so I can stun and run versus elites and champion mobs). I couldn’t solo act 1 Inferno until I used this setup

also almost 50k dps, and 27khp.

Don’t lie just because you didn’t make the finals. I couldve sworn you were a 13yr old super nerd, fooled me.

I stopped using Caltrops because it makes me spend discipline = less Smokescreen. Combined with Vault with no cost I feel I can kite pretty well with 12k hp. I also use Prep with the rune that has a chance of not having any cooldown. Currently steamrolling through Act 1 with just 35k dps with no Sharpshooter. I wish I could replace Tactical Advantage for max damage but I am too dependent on the increased movement speed right now. Maybe I should try replacing the rune on SS for the movement speed but that extra .5 second invul is valuable.

drop vault for caltrops. caltrops is so much better, can kite all day and it costs so much less. for build i use:
smokescreen
prep w/ the rune that makes it restore over a period of time rather than instantly
caltrops w/ 2 sec stun
impale w/ the rune that makes it crit for 200%
hungering arrow w/ devouring arrow rune
ele arrow w/ nether tentacles.

nether tentacles is the most OP move in the game. it moves so slow, can hit big targets like 3 times with one tentacle. ive watched beleil’s life just plummet, even on inferno from nether tentacles, so dam OP. as for item build, a 2h xbow gives the best burst IMO, that crit damage is huge especially when you start stacking it on your gear lol. im currently at 87k dps and i was critting beliel for 300k…at the beggining of his 2nd phase i shot 3 impales in a row for 300k each…needless to say we got to phase 3 right as his 1st set of adds spawned, lol. but ive been building my DH a bit tanky, thought i was a unique individual. but once u get to act 3, none of that matters, might as well just build glass cannon…
