I just got the starter edition for this. Whoever wants to party up/help out my battle tag is JAYHOLOCAUST#1121. LOL I don’t even know what that means, installer is going to take awhile. See ya’ll nukkas on.
HO EDIT: I’m wondering if I should start out as a Wizard, since melees tended to need an inventory full of good gear before they became viable, unlike sorcs or hammerdins droppin’ henchmen and bosses with just hobo mf gear. Most barbs weren’t on “dat level” until you had a BOTD or Grief and a shit ton of x/x/x charms.
I can get to the 3rd form solo against belial. I get hit 80k in the 3rd form and it just seems annoying with how hits register sometimes and I get hit even when I try teleporting.
Ironically enough after posting that, I was reading on the Monk forums and someone suggested a build they used to kill him. I used it and ended up one or two shotting him solo with that build. DominoLogic joined up with me after and we ended up killing him together so he could get credit. The second phase bugged out for us for some reason; I think it had to do with Belial charging my Earth Ally as it died or something. He then ended up strafing back and forth endlessly until we pushed him into phase three. lolz. Phase three was a pushover. Phase two is probably the hardest part of that fight, IMO. At least for me it has been.
Man auction house has really slowed down for low level gear… Im assuming this has to do with less new people starting the game. You can really do well trading the auction house. Im only lvl 25 but i got pretty baller gear just by playing close attention and knowing what im looking for.
For instance I bought some good handweapons for monk payed 1500 total. Sold them back for 10k Im going to continue this strategy hopefully all the way through the game, just gotta be smart and set good prices and people will buy (though like I said right now nice low level gear even at good prices is just sitting there.
Things that you can get best money out of
Amulets + rings - evne with decent stats they sell well, Keen stuff seems to do really well.
Rare Weapons - must be high DPS and Primary stat of the user for best results, give it a socket and prices go through the roof
everything else is pretty hit or miss. also people price like asstards on the AH.
Oh and so far me and my girl both found legendaries on Normal, I laugh at everyone who hadn’t even seen one by the time they reached hell.
Edit: Are Daggers fastest weapons? It sucks hand weapons are slower though at higher levels i think hand weapons will be higher dps. I got dual wield monk with almost 2.5 attacks per second!
There’s absolutely no point of you searching the AH for items and attempting to resell them at a higher cost at level 25. You may think you’re making money, but every minute you spend searching the AH for deals you are taking it away from leveling. Like pretty much all games with levels out there, you make more money when you’re at a higher level.
The pricing of items in this game just doesn’t make any sense. A 70 dex + 15% IAS magic ring you can find from drops or I think even some merchants for less than 10k, but a similar rare ring with slightly more dex will go for 200k+. Legendary items are way over priced considering their stats are worse than a lot of the top tier rares and magics. Given that blizzard will introduce new legendaries and not fix the current ones, I don’t see any reason why people would purchase them other to resell and make a profit out of it.
1.2% of players already at Inferno would actually be about what I would expect. 1.2% of characters is a bit above, takes a long time to go through all the quests and not everyone has it. Must take a minimum of about 40 hours or so to reach Inferno I’m guessing?
First run on normal, you take your time, kill everything, see the game, experience the story, etc. Nightmare and up? Rush that shit down. Though I gotta say, 33 hours sounds like “amount of time it takes somebody with down syndrome to beat it” range, but I could be wrong
Would have wanted the top left glove if it had some vitality on it =(
If anyone find some dex/vit/fire resist/all resist gear please run it by me, I’m looking for a minimal of 80 ish resist between fire/all and 60dex/60vit+
I think generally, you’d want to do it solo if you were a Barb/Monk. Range classes would probably benefit a lot more from parties.
Looking at my friends’ profiles, I think most people reached inferno in under 45 hours. It should definitely not take 30+ hours to get through normal alone.
It went much faster for me (a Barb) when duo’ing with my friend (a Wiz). His DPS was so much higher than mine that the extra enemy health didn’t matter.
protip: don’t join other people’s games and start randomly cashing in their quests. That is REALLY fucking annoying, especially when you have no idea what the other player you joined is up to, or why he hasn’t cashed in that quest.
