Official Diablo 4 Thread : Hype train departing

I play it naked and let bad baby Tyrese tank it for me.

Playing through hell act II and I’m really starting to hate my barbarian, and from everything I read, it’ll just get worse.

I’m kiting all the time while doing garbage damage. Thank god I play with a DH or else I would be screwed on elites and champions. I hate how I have to play just to survive.

Raising a DH and Wizard on the side. I’ll probably be 100x happier playing with one of these classes instead.

I was just there yesterday with my barbarian and it was hell for me also. Eventually got to 10k damage with a dual wielder, about 20k health (I know, suicide), but pushed through with throwing skills. Hardest fight there was Belial for me, but eventually got him in there.

Just hang in there, in my opinion act 2 is the hardest of the game.

act 2 is awful for dh too

put down a minefield of slowing/rooting traps that you absolutely need to survive because you arent going to survive a 63k hit

5 snake fuckers just invis through said minefield and 1 shot you even while youre moving away because you KNOW invis is dumb like that, except the melee attack has capcom hitboxes so you get hit from 10 miles away

slowly chip away at their health while mashing on ss and prep to maybe get a few more shots in before the inevitable death

not saying its any harder or easier but inferno is awful for everyone until (apparently) you outgear the content

Lag, nig. 1/5th of a second at least, it isn’t that the hitboxes are too good.

I’ve seen complaints of how people feel the hitboxes and animations don’t seem to match up exactly. I’ve seen complaints on forums and in many cases you can see it when a skeleton kicks and some other minions. I do feel that when sometimes and try to move out of a monster’s attack when kiting and still get hit.

Blizzard to make a fighting game as their next IP confirmed.

@DominoLogic: You are mis-understanding the hit boxes. If you are in melee range when a unit starts its attack animation, you get hit no matter what, even if you run away, even if the attack is really slow and obvious (well this doesn’t apply to some monsters)

I suggested they fix it by having damage done at the start of the animation (maybe a 1~3 frame window) and then more damage if you stay in range for the full animation. The total damage wouldn’t change, just part of it is done at the start. It just makes no sense when looking at the game.

The goal of this weird stuff was to make it so you couldn’t just run past enemies and not take any damage. The thing is, very few enemies attack so slowly that this is possible in Hell/Inferno.

Was playing in 80-90ms.

Walking away from Belial when he teleported -> melee attack, hits me from more than a character’s length away.

Another time, I vaulted away from him and got a two vaults on accident. Melee still hits me.

I don’t think it’s the hitboxes that are off, but that the game does the check to see if it would hit you long before the attack actually hits you.

A fellow bruv gave me a trial key, never played a diablo game before. Name: Regulate #1222

Since you guys have been putting up finds, finally found my first unique item in Hell, lucked out since it’d work if I want to go tank Barbarian.

60 Poison Resist, 30 to all others. Thanks RNG

lol Is the Topic title true? Some dude died after 3 days of endless play?

im not dodging stuff “on reaction”, im already running back (with 12% movespeed i might add) because i KNOW they will just invis through my traps and everything else

i am like a vault away, the snake dude swings at literally nothing and somehow i die

same thing with mortars and teleporting bullshit. checked my ping, its not awful.

i wouldnt mind so much if stuff didnt literally hit me for many times my max hp. i get that yeah theres going to be lag related hits but there is really nothing i can do about it except for trial and error. oh look, it hit me that time. oh look, it didnt hit me that time, even though i did nothing different. i would imagine the solution is to stack vit/resists so stuff like this isnt so frustrating but my character cant do that…i tried running around with 50k hp and squat for damage and died with just as much certainty since you cant kill anything before you die.

this isnt hard. it’s just a matter of outgearing the content.

somehow i made it to act 2 sewers. fast teleporting vortex hungerers (frogs). wtf is the point of all that just put fast on there and theyre already unbeatable

Sadly, Angel Hair Braid’s go for real cheap.

Beginning to wonder if I should just quit playing until they balance things. Right now you have so few options as far as skills to use in higher difficulties. Those thousands of skill combinations turn into a few for most chars…

2nd Legendary. Shitty lvl 55 2 Hander, Blade of Prophecy.

Also, be careful where you click. At the start of my fight with the Butcher, I tried clicking down near the bottom to move away from him before the screen was finished with the cutscene. When the UI appeared, I accidentally dragged my main attack off the bar, then snapped it back in since it was an accident. It put my skill on CD and took away my 5 stacks of Nephelam. Fuck you Blizzard.

looks through thread

sees no reason to reinstall

goes back to playing and enjoying Dragon’s Dogma

Sent from my HTC Thunderbolt using SRK Technology.

for me at least reading my posts it looks like im having an awful time but really its not so bad. i think most people just come here to vent after playing.

the game does have some str8 up bad decisions though i will agree

dude… seriously stop posting. NO ONE CARES!

and that message actually goes out to everyone posting up retarded screenshots of them uninstalling the game. (since uninstalling stuff on the computer is the final END KEY and all…)
