Only thing I like about the new layout is the bigger avatars we get. I don’t even know how to change my title… There is no option to…

Possible bug: <strike> (Sry if already mentioned) When i click my username in the top right, I’m taken to my user profile page. The advertisement for the upper left of this page is overlapping information pertaining to me. It mainly overlaps the section about what’s on my mind. Perhaps the location of this advertisement could be changed (or have an option to close it if that’s possible. Not sure if your agreement with advertisers allows for that.) </strike>
Edit: I now believe this has to do with the dark theme (or themes in general although it’s worst with the dark theme due to its white text). The problem is that when my text overlaps an advertisement of the same background color, the text becomes invisible. Most advertisement backgrounds are white so it affects the dark theme the worst. My easiest suggestion is to simply never have text overlapping advertisements.
roll over ads is like the most annoying shit ever.
btw, shoutouts to kyle was it? I’m still using his custom made blue steel, the man’s choice for browsing pleasure.
The architecture of the forum index is very poor right now. I think one easy to implement change that would make a huge difference is to reduce the character specific threads being displayed on the index to the top three games at most. Displaying those on the main index is of limited usefulness to begin with, and having so many makes finding other forums more difficult. Every single time someone visits the index they have to scroll around and hunt through that sea of character names to find the forum they want. It’s just silly.
Reducing these to the top three games would also provide some logical basis for which games have them displayed, whereas right now some games do and other don’t for no apparent reason. This might actually cause new users to be confused about whether or not character specific threads exist for certain games.
I got back on the Penny Arcade forums (also powered by Vanilla) since PAX was just over: Vanilla is just as badly done on that site too. So at least we’re mostly not alone in the board being crippled through Vanilla’s bad/limited implementation.
Bots are invading. Help.
Thought: auto-flag any non-validated account where Spam votes outnumber other votes.
Why the fuck isn’t the “unknown” user security hole fixed yet? The MTG thread, for example, will get rehacked no later than ten minutes after it’s fixed. How is this acceptable?

^-- MtG thread, first post owned by bots after I just fixed it.
This is pretty depressing: watch the bots fight the other bots to corrupt SRK:
Apparently that link doesnt work for regular members. It told me i dont have permission to do that when i clicked the link.
I also feel like watching somebody try to get the attention of an admin right now, is like watching somebody try to call the police from a dead phone line in a horror movie.
"PLEASE HELP US!"
No response
Wow, this is quite a big bot invasion… Taking down as many as possible atm
Is there any hope that Vanilla will fix the “unknown user” security hole?
Hey people. I think this is where it belongs: your faithful mobile users have lost the ability to see who has liked/agreed/etc with posts. It’s not earth-shattering, but praise/disapproval are only as important as whomever expressed them.
I prefered it when members voted on a post their av appeared at under said post. Now it’s only visiable when you roll over one rating titles. Old why was great for skimming through posts.
Without the roll of faces it’s just not the same.
Now all posts look alike. >:[
Bring back the bottom row avatars please. It was like a Military generals badges having multiple rows of likes/agrees/lols/insightfuls
Having it this way is an aesthetic downgrade.
Is also sad the row of user votes is now gone. Skim-reading isn’t the same
It’s harder to judge the quality of individual posts with the likes, agrees, etc. hidden.
The likes and agrees on the bottom of a post was a good way of gauging the quality of a post, compared to having to read every single post.
Is there a reason for this change?
