Corrosive son. Corrosive will fuck up any heavy armored enemy like the Crimson Lance and Spider Ants.
If you start a new character then no your items don’t carry over. You can only start a second play through with the character you’ve beaten the game with and yes his items carry over.
It doesn’t really matter though because anything you find in the first play through becomes quickly obsolete with the shit you find in the second play through.
Also Hunter is too good. I’m going almost full Gunslinger. You find so many sick pistols during second play through and revolvers do stupid amounts of damage that he his going to be a killing machine.
My level 50 Soldier is pretty badass too though. Now that I finnaly found a Combat Riffle worth it’s salt. It does like 250 damage a shot with an insane fire rate. I can empty the whole 42 round clip in like 3 seconds.
I’m using a purple Shock Tropper mod that gives me +52% Shock Damage, +4 Grenadier, +4 Refire, +3 Fitness with my current build.
This way whenever I kill something I get Shield/Health regen and increase my already stupid fast fire rate. I can Take down SuperBads (the upped version of Bad Mutha’s once you reach level 50) with two clips. I don’t even need my turret but with a level 5 Refire and my fast fire rate it still regens pretty decently.
Plus it’s nice that Stat also heals allies whenever I kill something so people don’t bitch at me for not being a healer.
Currently lvl 47 Hunter, quite a few hours into 2nd playthrough.
Did anyone else manage to get their backpack inventory slots above 42?
For some reason, my inventory is 45 and I’m not sure if this is glitched or not?
When I save claptraps on 2nd playthrough, most of 'em just give me items instead of SDUs. I think I got that extra SDU from playing with someone else online. Instead of giving it to the host, it gave it to me … (?)
I did something similar, but I hide in a different spot.
my tactic
Spoiler
After he grips the two posts with his arms, if you run around to the left of him, and follow the back wall all the way till you’re almost walking into his body, you can just sit there and shoot his right (your left) arm until he dies
Just looking at the Lilith tree… wtf? You generally want to max out the good talents, and not put 1/5 into crappy ones. If a talent is worth putting 1 point in, you want 5 points in it instead. Also, Blackout is basically overpowered.
Yeah it was the same for me when i first played… I suggest playing the game solo for a bit just to get used to it or play with friends with the same level as you. I started at lvl 1 and my friends were level 10-15… with their help i leveled up fast though :wgrin:
This is what I ran with, after tweaking the talents every 10 levels or so, based on how useful I thought the previous talents I picked were. Keeping in mind, you have to be level 50 for this build.
Mind Games is ridiculously good. Easily better than Phoenix or Phase Strike. Daze is an amazing debuff against enemies. Bosses become pushovers when they’re walking at like 10% speed, and shooting at 10% speed. Enemies in general just become much easier to kill. Combined that with Dramatic Entrance (and the below tactic) and everything you face should always be dazed.
Having 5/5 in Hard to Get, and 5/5 in Blackout, means that every 3 enemies you kill after using Phasewalk, your Phasewalk is up again. When facing groups of enemies, this is very often. It’s almost not fair really since they’ll all be dazed (thanks to Dramatic Entrance), and taking damage from your class artifact mod. You can basically spam the move since it’ll refresh constantly, keep everything dazed, and wreck house.
Honestly, the entire middle tree is fairly weak. Quicksilver isn’t completely terrible, but the gain is mild. The rest of the talents are passable.
I haven’t tried it with 2 players but if that doesn’t work you can always just get a buddy to make a room so you can swap items.
Also generally speaking you’re going to want to max out most skills you put points into. Many skills don’t really become useful until you max them out and add to them with + skill mods.
I have a friend who went Firefly and his Siren is a beast. He only uses elemental weapons and when he goes Phoenix he deals both shock and fire damage.
Brawler/Tank is what everyone uses. You need the extra health if you’re always up close punching shit. I don’t think I’ve seen an explosion Brick yet.
I’ve found some crazy rocket launchers. Shit like 900 damage x3 with 4x Incendiary. They all seem so awesome but then you try them and they don’t shit.
Maybe with Bricks skills they become better. I have a lvl 14 Brick that I’m going to make explosions just for the fuck of it. Here’s what I’m thinking.
how is the item hunting in this game?
like can you keep hunting for items until you are satisfied? or do enemies/bosses never respawn?
cause i want it to be like diablo 2 mephy runs
All Bosses respawn. They always drop the same item though. Which unfortunately are never really that good, but I’ve only ever had purple boss items drop, maybe a legendary version would actually be good.
Most of the time your awesome guns are going to come from chest. Which unfortunately means that the most effect way to farm is to just make a game in new haven, open the 3 chest in that town, exit, make a new game and repeat.
