just so you know, any time the story has a possible branch the screen will flash “gachi battle” before the fight
- beat watson with final strike
- beat donvalve with saigo no ichigeki (i think)
- beat marco and urs with time over
do high bounce parries when you see a rush. if he does the overhead you get a fat combo, no big deal if he does the low rush (even when hes in heat up)
the low rush is also really unsafe on block, same with his sweep

And their directions are that finishing off Watson with the super takes you to the alternate path (Watson Five story), while on the main branch you need to finish Donvalve with a Final Strike, and beat Marco and Urs with time over. I’ve done all that (and lost to everyone on each branch), but still only have 96% on his story. Hmm…
Also, apologies for ignorance, but which move is “Saigo no Ichigeki”?

DB can get it guaranteed off an upper gachi+heat.
The super can also whiff. In a certain combo(don’t remember what I did), my last sword attack was standing D and it launched the opponent to high to be hit by the super.

I posted a bunch of setups for it on your site. It’s pretty damn easy to do and you have situations for it from anywhere on the screen. Trying to hit low against a DB that is fishing for it is pretty much guaranteed 50% damage for him. If he parries high from anywhere besides full and a little more than mid screen he can also land it easily.
Since he doesn’t have a good way to link his actual super, his Final Strike acts as his “real” super and it makes his parrying game a lot scarier than most other chars since it requires very little execution to get off.
Edit: The damage Don Valve gets isn’t actually higher. Even tho the numbers seem to say so, if you test with something like Urs’s heat up combo which deals 45% or so on Urs (who is at 1.0 defense rating), it actuall does something like 30% on Don Valve even tho the damage number indicates it to be higher.
I understand that. He IS literally taking more damage, but sense he has higher HP, its still less. Im not saying he doesn’t take anymore damage then anyone else.
