I wouldn’t go with ANY flat rate box because your contents are so small and light; it would be a waste. The cheapest flat rate is now something like $9 or $10 (prices were raised again today or tomorrow).
Instead I would go to the USPS store and order FREE priority mail boxes that are also shipped to you absolutely free. I would recommend these:
You could probably ship a bunch of your PCBs for less than $5 to the continental US. If you use USPS.com or PayPal to print your postage, you get a small discount plus they throw in free delivery confirmation service. The only thing you need to print postage online is a rough idea of how much the package weighs. I have a scale for packages but you can use a regular weight scale as well. Just be sure to always round up to the nearest pound. They always ask for pounds and ounces, but just round up to the next pound and leave the ounces blank because they charge up to the nearest pound anyway. Fore example if a package is 4 pounds 1 ounce or 5 pounds, they get charged the same.
Anyway, I guarantee that it’ll be cheaper than flat rate boxes unless your package starts going over 10 pounds or which your wouldn’t unless someone orders like 20+.
I can’t PM you because I haven’t posted 15 times yet (damn me and my lurking ways), but I would like to confirm my pre-order. I want one package A. I live in Albuquerque, NM.

Whoa. Guys, that’s nuts. ShinJN and I worked together on getting this made. The schematic and functionality is identical. Anybody who decides to wait around for mine to get done is just deciding to wait a month for the exact same thing they could have right bloody now.
Mark, I’ll take a look at it during the weekend of the SD tournament. I’m coming down Saturday so I’ll bring my tools and stuff.
About shipping, here is the exerpt straight from USPS.com regarding the Small Flat Rate Box just to show you guys I’m not trying to rip you off on shipping.
“The Small Flat Rate Box can be used effective effective Jan. 18 with a retail shipping price of $4.95 ? one price, regardless of weight, up to 70 lbs. for U.S. addresses. The international price, for up to 4 lbs., is just $10.95 to Canada or Mexico and $12.95 to all other countries, with savings of 5 percent for customers who ship online. Online prices also are lower for shipping to U.S. addresses. The online price will be $4.80, and for large volume mailers who qualify for USPS Commercial Plus pricing, the price will be $4.75.”
I already ordered a ton of the Small Flat Rate Boxes and should be here sometime this coming week. The boxes will mainly be for international shipping and for those in the US that want Priority. I have also ordered a ton of small manila bubble mailers for those that want First Class Mail.
Fingers crossed on the new Priority rates. I’ll update the first post with new shipping prices as soon as I can get solid confirmation.
Edit: Homies gave up their boards for you guys. So the cap is upped to 45. If anything, I’ll just order another batch so they can have more than 1 each.
LOL. That means you’re going to have to gut the TE. I’ll happily take the guts. =D If you really want to, provide the sixaxis or ds3 and it’s done. I’ll take care of it that weekend I’m down there.
The shipping is for any amount of boards you buy as long as the total weight of the package is 4 pounds or under (for international folks). If you order 1, 2, 3, or more, as long as the total weight is 4 pounds or under, the rate is the same. It is NOT shipping per board. It’s shipping per order.
I realized afterwards that the flat rate quote you gave was for international and not domestic! That’s why I posted the info that I did. I hope it didn’t come across as me trying to say you’re ripping off people for shipping! In any case, shipping online is still great for the free delivery confirmation which I always recommend when dealings online.
No offense taken at all. I wasn’t exactly clear in my first few posts about shipping. Thanks to Paik, slag, and Toodles for giving me shipping tips.
Order for components has been submitted. I should get the components plus the shipping supplies sometime this week. I hope. If all goes according to plan, I should start shipping out packs by next weekend.
Here’s how I plan on doing the shipping. For US customers that want First-Class, I will be printing labels via PayPal. For US customers that want Priority Mail, if PayPal updates their online tool, I will use them to print labels. If they don’t update the rates, I will use USPS.com to print labels. The same goes for International folks. Priority Mail labels will be printed via PayPal (if they get their tool updated) or USPS.com. Why print online? Free Delivery Confirmation! Insurance will be extra though.
So much to do just to get shipping correct. It’s like a second job. lol.
