am i the only one who canāt figure out how to take apart a sixaxis? i got the screws out, but thereās like a tab or something still holding the center together.
I just took mine apart earlier. Aside from the 5 screws, thereās something that looks like you have to break in order for it to come apart. I just had to use more force in opening it and eventually I heard something snap and it opened right up.
There is a notch on the inside where the LED light is. You have to push the bottom (shell) half inwards and pull up on the top half
Finally got it open and spent a couple hours finishing it up. I wanted to cut a plexi sheet for the top and sand down the vmu hole but after waiting so long I couldnāt stop myself. I didnāt have as much room in there as I thought so the wiring is messy and the board isnāt really held in place by anything. It works great, thanks ShinJN.
Also, after taking apart the sixaxis, I donāt know how sony ever expected your average consumer to replace the battery themselves, I think iād have a hella hard time putting it back together.
