Official AXISdapter Thread: SIXAXIS/DS3 Hacking Made Easy (ONLY PACK A avail)

Hey shinjn you put me down for a package c but I actually needed a package b. I typed in the price of the b by accidently put c. Sorry for the trouble.

hi shinjn

just wondering what are the approx wait times on preorders?

thanks

edit just saw it, approx end of next week.

Just a little update. Boards will be in my hands on Monday and screw terminals will be in my hands Wednesday. I went ahead and ordered 2 more batches cause the pre-order list is getting long.

Alright so im in the process of wireless-ing my TE, wiring the Home button took nothing but a few seconds for my brother in law to figure out, we got that out of the way. Next what I was trying to do was to recycle the TE USB cable, splice it to a mini usb cable and us it to charge the sixaxis. Problem is it wont work, i have tried many different configurations and cant figure it out im not trying to replace the USB cable in the TE but I just cant get it to work.

EDdit: HOLY CRAP!!! I GOT IT TO WORK!!! after a few more minutes of tinkering with it the sisxaxis finally lit up, i attached a mini USB cable to the end, im done for today, tommorrow i solder the wires together to ensure a good bond, then Iā€™ll take care of the wiring and iā€™ll have my wireless TE, ShinJN you got me hooked on these wireless sticks!!!

I am sorely missing my joysticks and this board looks like it will solve all my reservations. Once I actually hit my 5 posts (yesā€¦I know) Iā€™ll be sending a PM about preordering a few.

Well, PM is on itā€™s way!

Ok here is the first (is this the first? please correct me if iā€™m wrong but I havenā€™t seen another one) wireless PS3 Tournament Edition using the AxisAdapter. I kept full functionality of the Home button as well as the led lights on the MadCatz PCB to mimic the sixaxis led lights so that iā€™m able to tell when the thing is charging and what not, work took about 4 hours but everything works perfectly. The sixaxis charges through the stock USB cable so the storage compartment comes in handy for storing the cable.

Here are some pics of the in progress:

hey comet,

Do you mind posting a photo of your LED soldering of the controller pcb ? (possibly in another post?)

They look awfully small to solder, are there any tricks to do that ?

they are indeed very small to solder, use 30 gauge wire, also all of the leds share the same positive connection so for the positive conection you only need one wire so instead of having to solder 8 wires you only need five. Iā€™ll try to get a pic but I have to take the flex cable off the sixaxis off to get access to the leds and im not so sure I want to do that.

Thanks for the update ShinJN

Nice clean looking mod Red Comet

Shin,

Sorry, I want package C as I realized I forgot to mention that in my PM.

Thanks!

Nice job in wiring the home button what a pain that was. Keeping the led is awesome too but Iā€™m not sure if Iā€™m able to do it cause i scratched off some of the traces on the pcbā€¦ How did you keep the led lights on anyways?

I also cut some traces but it was just as a precaution so the leds did not short.

Hey ShinJN can you put me down for another Axisadapter package Ā©

i was wondering if anyone knew a way to use the axisdapter w/ a happ p360 stick and still maintain the wireless feature. being that the happ p360 has to have a separate independent 5v power supply, the cthulhu board is the only option i have seen. hit me up if anyone has the expertise in this matter, ty

these things ready yet?

I got money to burn

hey can you add me to your pre-order list for:

1x$22.00 Adapter (B) blk or other color
$5.00 S&H
Thanks

Yo ShinJN,

Can you put me down for 2 more Option C Packages (I bought 2 from you a few weeks back). Black sounds dope.

Cheers

Hi ShinNJ, i PMed you for a axisdapter Ā© to Australia. Thanks!~

and iā€™ve got a real n00b question for anyone who can helpā€¦

 1. Can i just attach the wire to the ā€˜adapterā€™, and then use a quick connect to attach it to a button? Is it that easy? (obviously you have to ground it aswellā€¦)

 2. where can i get those sleeves that keep the wires neat?

 3. how do you make a daisy chain?

thanks!!
