Thank you toolessā¦ You Da Man!!!..
I just got my AxisAdapter Package C today, Installed it and it works flawlessly. Awesome solderless solution for Sixaxis. Going to trick out my stick with toodlesās idea of higher capacity batteries and ShinJNās idea of USB panel mounts. So much for wired sticks
hmm anyone care to tell me exactly what is wrong with the new Dual shock 3 controller?
likeā¦ if its not a 20 pin connection, then what it is, (since its not on the slagcoin site)
because I was looking for a controller to hack on amazon today, and forgot the warning of ānewer DS3 might not workā warning on the front pageā¦ yeahā¦ two days with barely any sleep can ruin things.
===============================
oh yeah by the way, ShinJN I got my package today as well (didnāt know until I saw nnguyen90ās post and decided to check my mail box
Cheers nnguyen90! First person to get it and install it. Glad you are happy with it. =)
DSlayerX, let me know how it goes. Glad you got yours.

EDIT: If anyone has a new DualShock 3 that they want to use, but canāt, Iām willing to trade the already assembled adapter board and the working SIXAXIS guts you see in this picture straight across for a new controller, preferably DS3. I kinda wrecked the plastic taking it apart If youāre looking to buy a new controller for this purpose, just buy a DS3, send it to me, and get everything ready to go and already done.
Woot! Just tested it out in my debug āCigar Box with old Agetec partsā stick and it works just peachy.
We should see if someone in IMM would be up for a logo or something. I got lots of real estate beginning for an image in it.
Rest of the parts should be here tomorrow, and any that remain unspoken for will head towards LizardLick on Friday, so if you need one, get ahold of me, or wait a week or so for it to show up on lizardlick.com.

Nice! Good work, Toodles.
Those on the wait list, feel free to let me know if you want to be off the wait list.
sigh, bad newsā¦ I just open up the DS3 that I currently possess. (bought roughly 2 months ago, and it turns out that the controller is not using the 20 pin connectionā¦
we will see if the one I purchased from amazon has a lower number or model number or not ā¦ sighā¦
Dāoh! Whyād you have to go and open it?!?!
??? its already back to its original conditionā¦ I put them back once I realized that it is not what I am looking forā¦
nowā¦ lets wish that the one from amazon. in āused-like newā condition is an older edition.
but anyway, Toodles, why do you need a brand new controller anyway?
Because I broke one of the small plastic pieces that go between the R2 and R1 buttons on the one I took apart for testing, and I donāt need a wireless stick. I kinda got that Cthulhu and UPCB thang going on in all my sticks.
ohā¦ that piece, I know what you are talking aboutā¦ yeah, I wonder why canāt Sony canāt think of a better way to design that separate thing
do you know any way to tell if the controller has a 20 pin design by looking at the model number?
if the one I got from amazon is the same as this oneā¦ I think I can send that one to you ā¦
-==============================
I really should have just ordered a sixaxis from amazonā¦ but I want to feel the rumble @_@
but nowā¦ not so certain if the rumble is worth the effort anymore
this is a great breakthrough you guys have developed. kudos.
ok, update with more info.
For those of you who has a dual shock 3 controller that will work with this, may you please post the model no. of your DS3?
My model number is
CECHZC2U, and this one will not work with the board.
also, this model exist since nov 2007 according to one site I have foundā¦ soā¦ if this is indeed the later version, then the DS3 with 20 pins must come from before this time
==========================================
Slagcoin has a CECHZC2U that ALSO has the 20 pin connectorā¦and that oneās serial number is bigger than this oneā¦ I wonder how exactly can I tell now =_=
Wow - This is a fantastic little board and just what I was looking for right now, as I am working on my very first homebrew stick
I would like to put my name down for 2 C kits. Do I need to email you at your gmail account for a quote ShinJN?
Also, I would like to know if it is possible to wire up one of these DS3 adapters alongside a Cthulu board? It would be nice to be able to play wirelessly on the PS3 and also be able to plug the same stick into the PC through USB.
Anyways, I am so excited about this adapterā¦ its going to help me make the stick of my dreams
Due to the fact that the SIXAXIS PCB is not common ground, thereās no possible way to do a dual PCB mod with it. I know, it sucks ass. I can put you down on a wait list for 2 C boards. There are about 15 boards unaccounted for right now but they are pre-ordered. Iām going to give folks till the end of the week before releasing them to people on the wait list.
Since I donāt have any boards for myself or my homies, I will be ordering a new batch. This batch will be a little specialā¦ hehe.
Thanks for the info ShinJNā¦ if you could put my name down for 2 C kits, I would be most happy.
And just how āspecialā are the new boards?
I have 2 old SIXAXIS controllers from a while back. Maybe a year and a half or longer. I opened one up because the left analog stickā¦ sticks. When I move it to the the left, it stays stuck in that position and doesnāt center itself back.
Would that be a problem at all if I used the PCB in a custom? Is there anyway to have both analog sticks completely disabled?
wellā¦ to the best of my knowledge, you might have a problem since analog will be constantly registering that you are turning left.
but if you really canāt get it back to the center, you can simply just desolder the analog sticks and add resistor to the original analog connections. Slagcoin has the pictures that shows you what to do
If I wanted my stick to be wireless, Iād do this shit in a heartbeat. Good job, though. Holy shit, you people.
