I’m looking for a third for Viper and Vergil. I really don’t have any idea who to put there, as I don’t wan’t “just an assist” character to fill the gap. Also, what order would be optimal? Viper/Vergil/xx? Multiple suggestions would be most beneficial.
I know I’ve asked the question about my team already. So, I have Zero and Vergil for the 2 on my team. Now which do you think could work better; firebrand or akuma? I understand that akuma is a VERY solid choice, but then again I’m caught up on firebrands agility. which do you think may work better with Zero and Vergil? Also I’ve heard Vergil and Zero are solid together, same with Dante and Zero. Which do you think combo better with each other?

I run a team of Virgil (Rapid Slash)/Wesker(Sam. Edge. Low Shot)/ Chun-Li(Hyakuretsukyaku H) because I feel at home with them.
I am just looking for some constructive criticism and a possible alt. to Chun-Li.

Well my Current team is Chris(guns)/C.America(Shield Slash)/Shuma(Mystic Ray) and they seems to work pretty well. The main focus is rush down with cover pressure from the assist, The main character in this team is Shuma. . I’m new to UMVC3 so all this assist stuff don’t make too much
Well the problem is, Strider is a good assist and anchor and all, but Strider has too low life. I’m looking for an anchor who has average HP and has a good assist that can help me mix-up very well.
Well it depends on what you’re looking for from an assist, you could experiment with beam assists or someone such as Nova. You could try putting doom second or Sent on your team and running dante anchor.
Very basic question. I know I want to run Ryu and Wesker, in no particular order (I suspect Wesker/Ryu/??? or ???/Ryu/Wesker). Am after suggestions for a best third character to compliment these two, who MUST be low-execution. I’m pretty awful at this game because I’ve no idea how to really get better, but I get the feeling a large part of my problems come from not being able to settle on a team and practise with them. Theory tells me either a character who works well without assists (if on point), or one with an assist that helps Wesker reach an opponent (if anchor) works, but I’ve no idea who the best candidates for these options would be. Anybody have any ideas to help me out?
Try Ryu/Wesker/Sentinel. Super low execution team, Ryu can do high damage with Wesker assist, and Drones help both Ryu and Wesker get in and mix up.
Just came from the UMVC3 GD thread, and was in the process of building a better Nemesis team. Right now it’s Nem-Whatever/Doom-Missiles/Dante-Jam Session, but I want to add Lei-Lei to the team as 2nd. I’ll of course be making great use of her Golden Armor+Pendulum for lockdown/mixups/etc. purposes. I have no idea who to put as anchor on the team though, and was hoping someone could give me some help deciding. Also, feel free to critique and add whatever you feel like sharing about my team build so far. Thanks all!

Hopefully this’ll finally be a team that I can stick with… what are some thoughts on:
Jill [Arrow Kick], Firebrand [Demon Missile M or H?], Amaterasu [Cold Star]
or…

I don’t know what assist Firebrand should have, but I think he doesn’t have to use Hell Spitfire because Cold Star or Jam Session will help Jill land her double bounce ender and the lockdown would be small and redundant. I can’t decide between either Demon Missile though, but I assume it’ll help her get in safely.
I think Dante’s Jam Session is slightly better for Jill, but slightly worse for Firebrand, and Okami Shuffle DHC from Dark Fire is probably better than whatever Dante can do. Both Amaterasu and Dante have great THCs and their assists are kinda similar but I think Amaterasu is a better anchor… which is better?

I Would suggest Jill, Ammy and Dante.
Jill DHC glitch reset is really good use with both Dante and Ammy so abuse it.

MY TEAM: Wolverine Nova Frank-Its generally a lvl up frank team but has good synergy between the characters but my problems with this team is always getting more ways to lvl up frank(keep in mind the order of the team because of exchanges) also assists to use for nova and wolverine obviously shopping cart is the go to for frank also and good damaging combos with this team is needed, finally RESETS I NEEDS THEM!
So I want to mess around with Morrigan Vergil (anchor)
I want a horizontal projectile asisst (Not Doom) that works well as an anchor
Iron Man and Chris arent good anchors and Im to stupid to use Magneto =[

Well Doctor Doom and Magneto are the only really good beam assist but you ruled them out. If you use a regular projectile assist like Arthurs knives or something (he can be a anchor), works the same more or less…
Hawkeye or Taskmaster might work.
I’m thinking Hulk/Haggar/Arthur, and shooting for Arthur to finish the match in boxers mode. That way the win screen has 3 shirtless men yelling at the screen.
