Does anybody think Trist, Nova, Hawkeye team would work? If it does, what would be the ideal lineup for these 3?
Nova / Trish / Hawkeye or Nova / Hawkeye / Trish. Very strong team IMO. Just about any order works pretty well actually which makes it very resilient to snapbacks.
Right now the two set members of my team are Nova and Spencer, and Iām not sure who to fill out the last spot with. I was initially using Cap, but a long session with my brother proved that heās the member of my team that was doing the least work, so iād like to replace him with someone whoās good at dealing with rushdown characters. Not necessarily with Hawkeye, given that my time in the lab has shown me Iām not very fond of him. Suggestions?
How does Trish work as anchor? Also, what would be the best assists for this team. Iām thinking Centurion Rush, Triple Arrow, and Peekaboo. If I donāt have Trish as anchor, what are some good ways to set up some mixups with Trishās Round Harvest super?
What do you guys think about Chris/Trish/Ryu?
Trying to find a third for my X-23/Vergil team. Currently have Strider, because he controls a lot of vertical space once he gets out and it lets me tack on some extra damage to my currently anemic combos (which Iām working on). I know Jam Session Dante works, but my anchor play with him is really suspect, outside of weak j.S fishing.
Youāre initially going to want a character that has an assist that can not only benefit Spencer, but Nova as well. I main Spencer and know which assists help him out the most.
Since Nova and Spencer are both rush down (Nova can play lame but if youāre pairing two rush downs ⦠your team is now rush down), youāre going to want an assist that helps you get in, so a zoning assist would be most helpful. But at the same time, you want this zoning assist to somewhat help out Novaās or Spencerās combos. So my suggestion is to pick up Sentinel, Doom, Taskmaster or Hawkeye.
Sentinel Bombs = helps you get in/ spencer can combo using bombs.
Doom = Same thing as sent^
Taskmaster = arrows do good damage, slow enough to create a mix up, decent on level 3.
Hawkeye = arrows are fast and heās really good as lvl 3 xfac.
Iād put X23 last. She can extend her combos after qcf+M and her level 3 is GDLK, it would be an instant 800k and a free followup, this would kill those annoying Wesker no problem. Her Ankle Slice OTG would benefit Vergil because you could do ⦠air series ending with 3H, and call her assist and do 626M with Vergil, however, the timing is strict with the assist. And as an added bonus, some people donāt know how to block X23ās assist, most people think it goes low so they block low, thus allowing you to create an āunblockableā with an air attack.

So Iāve played Trish/Nova/Strider most of the time since release. I feel itās a pretty strong team - Trish/Nova is the heart of the team and Strider assist is great with them, and Strider is an incredible anchor when things go well. But usually people start trying to counter pick my team, and once they do that, Iāve noticed that probably 75% of the time that opponents manage to get past Trish/Nova, the team is not in good enough shape for Strider to make a comeback - usually not enough meter built and his low damage canāt pull it off. If Strider gets going heās great but if he donāt get going heās useless. I still like the team, and Iāll still practice with Strider (my problem may solve itself with better execution and comfort with Strider) but it feels a bit too gimmicky atm, so I would like another option for 3rd.
Tried Doom but Iām not the biggest fan of him as anchor - if Iām going to use him I rather use him early on. I see people recommending Hawkeye for a similar team up top⦠Would that be the best option?
Iām also trying to form teams with Dorm and RR. But sadly, I dont think either of them work too well with Trish/Nova (at least with my current tech). Any advice for forming a team with them and possibly using some of the characters from my main team (Trish/Nova/Strider/and maybe Hawkeye or whoever is best suggested)? I wonāt mind using other characters but Iād rather to stick to main chars - Iād like to concentrate on as few characters as possible.
Trish (Peekaboo)/Firebrand (Hellfire Spit)/C.Viper (Burning Kick).
Still undecided on whether or not to swap Burning Kick for Seismo to give Firebrand an OTG assist, although it gives both Trish and Firebrand a really nice unblockable with their ground slides. Also undecided on whether or not to keep Spit or change to Demon Missile (H).
Iām pretty new to fighters, but I think Iāve got good synergy going. I play Trish opportunistically (keepaway or aggro) as a battery until she dies or I DHC into Firebrand and Luminous Body. Ideally Iām able to break even with my meter with him, since it can still charge in LB, so if I have to change to Viper I have some to burn through. Bon Voyage can also raw tag safely into Viper then follow up with a seismo, if I ever feel the need to get Firebrand off point.
I think Iāve got a good grasp of most fighting concepts but Iām yet to wrap my head around what exactly a reset is supposed to be. So I dunno how good my team is for doing those, yet. I like this team a lot but Iād be willing to trying mixing it up a bit if anyone has any suggestions. I think Iām competent with Joe, Shuma, Haggar, Spencer, Arthur, and Skrull, but Iād be happy to try learning anyone new, really.
Taskmaster ( Vertical)/ Brandy ( Hellfire ) / Morrigan ( Soul Fist)
I like the team but Firebrandās health is starting to become a problem. Iām hoping to find a character that could potentially balance out my team and help it deal with characters such as Dormammu, Amaterasu and Wesker⦠So far Taskmaster and Morrigan have great synergy. I have Morrigan as anchor just because lvl 3 xfactor with astral vision is very tricky to block and punish.
Iāll try that. Iām also gonna try Wesker,Vergil,Dormammu but Iām loving Wesker on point, he can build about a bar and 1/4th in a combo.
I was thinking Task would be the best because I played him a bit in vanilla in the limited time I played it for. Would Nova/Task/Spencer be a good order, or would it be better to have Task in the anchor position?
I run X-23 on point because sheās my battery. I feel a lot more comfortable with her pressing the offence. Plus, with my assists, I can push at least 650k, at least in the corner. I donāt mind not pulling ToD combos. I grew up a Tekken player. Get your hit, take your damage, put yourself in the most advantageous position possible, and do it again. That may not be the best mentality for this game, though⦠But anyway.
That still leaves me with a third.
Hey everyone, hopefully I get a response by someone better than me at Marvel
Iāve dropped Street Fighter(for now, maybe permanently) for Marvel so I can focus on one game. Ive been screwing around with a ton of teams, but havenāt found one that worked for me. Iād really appreciate some advice on what Iām doing right/wrong here.
The first team I made was Frank West(Shopping Cart), Dante(Jam Session), and Amaterasu(Bloom). I call Amaterasu during my frank west combo. Once the combo ends, I have just enough meter to THC Frankie and Dante, thus giving me level 5 Frank West. Now I LOVE level 5 Frankie, but I donāt really like Dante in UMvC3, and Iām absolute poo with Amaterasu. So while Frank is super fun to use, I donāt see this team being that practical.
The other team I just made was Wolverine, Wesker, and Hulk. (Assists are up in the air). Iām a huge fan of Wolverine and I love playing him, Wesker is wellā¦Wesker. And I just love Hulk for some reason. I donāt know if the assists work well with this team though. Thatās my main focus right now is assists, because I rarely, if ever, call them out.
I also appreciate and love characters that no one uses, so maybe if someone could recommend a REALLY unique team(Like Arthur Morrigan Felicia) for example, thatād be great:)

Right now, the character I am VERY sure of using is Nemesis. But since 11/15, Iāve been stuck in the ācharacter crisisā phase and Iād appreciate help/advice/criticisms.
Iāve had some success with the following team ups:
Team 1:
Ghost Rider (point; chain assist)
Iron Man (beam assist)
Nemesis (slam, anchor {YES! ANCHOR!})
Gameplay: Ghost Rider whips chains around, with Iron Manās beam to close the distance and Nemesisā assist as a āget off meā. SHould be able to build enough meter for Iron Man OR Nemesis to abuse should he tag in. Worst case scenario, Nemesis as a XF3 monster comes in with a 1.2M damage air combo without a super.
Problem: Iron Man is my weak link; I can do his AC to Proton Cannon super combo but other than that, I just donāt know how he can help coz I canāt seem to dash in quickly enough to start a combo and I donāt know which top players to look out for in youtube.
Team 2:
Nemesis (point; slam)
Strider (vajra)
Wesker (anchor, low shot)
Gameplay: Be a beast with Nemesis; 50% of the time, I do a OCV with Nem alone. Striderās assist to cover and Wesker as an "emergency panic button.
Problem: Strider dies too quickly IMO and I feel that he does too little damage. I can land a few decent hits with him tho, and Vajra is just amazing.As for Wesker, Iām not really into doing his long comboes due to the chance to drop (ie: combo to cobra strike, relaunch with shot, combo to g. butterfly, launch, AC to Phantom dance etc.); Iām just happy dashing/porting around and with a low starting combo rushdown.
My anchor also seems to have problems against zoning anchors (ie: Arthur).
Team 3:
Nemesis (same as team 2)
Sentinel (charging drones)
Wesker (same as team 2)
Gameplay: same as above but this time, Sentinel can actually contribute and all 3 characters are a threat.
Problem: Not exactly a pro with Sentinel (same with Wesker, above). The only consolation is that there are rare cases where Sentinel tags in only to die within a few seconds (a VERY frequent case if I went for Team 2).
Team 4:
Nemesis (same)
Dormammu (what assist???)
Wesker (same)
Gameplay: Same.
Problem: Still learning Dorm. :(. I pretty much got the AC, Purification, Chaotic flames BnB down. Does he has a steep learning curve compared to sayā¦Sentinel or Doom or Iron Man?
Team 5:
Nemesis (same)
?
X-23: (anchor, ankle slice)
In this set up, is Sentinel a good choice for a 2nd character slot? I also seem to have some success with a level 3 XF X-23 with her level 3 super as a āoops I win!ā condition.

PS: I usually go for ādecent damagingā comboes with a minimal chance of dropping, hence I stay away from Doom or Dante (never tried him out thoā¦willing to try him if the learnign curve isnāt demmanding)
Yeah, my Vergil team at the moment is Vergil, Frank West, Wesker. Just because OTG assist into spiral swords loop is stupid, and doing Ramzaās combo into wiffed Survival Tech with Frank gets him to five instantly which makes him beyond stupid.
on a side note, my games with Haggar/Spencer/Hawkeye have been going well, Haggar builds so much meter for spencer/hawkeye and using Lariat aggressively really shuts down peopleās approaches. I have a nasty incoming character in the corner with haggar/spencer, using the slant assist and right as they come in do SRK L, Haggar will end up right underneath the character and then itās a guessing game which side iām on, half the time I donāt even know, haha.
So, Iām looking to replace my team that has Doom on point with a Zero team. I donāt really care who is on the team, what do you feel is the most effective Zero-based team there is? I havenāt practiced his combos, and I know very little about the character, but Iām more than willing to learn.
Also, would either Doom or Strange happen to fit onto the team? If not, thatās ok. I wasnāt sure whether I should post this here or in the Zero boards, but I ultimately decided here for more answers and whatnot. Thanks in advance!
Zero is all about mix ups and getting in that ass. Doom fits perfectly with zero because you can use the hidden missile assist to end your combo. (S + assist, air mm, raikousenHā¦-delay-⦠buster, qcfH, Hyper.) See forth your 3rd character however you see fit.
I have some trouble trying to find a second character for my Chris (Gunfire)/ / Doom (Missiles) team I have been thinking on using Shuma with Mystic Ray, Rocket Racoon with log trap assist or switch Doom to the second slot and use Dorm as my anchor. Any advice to decide who should I chose or any suggestions for other characters that may help Chris Keepaway game would be very helpful. Thanks in advance
