The Bauer BeatDown? -

loool good comparison.

sigh I miss Dubaku.

Seems her real name is Cara Bowden.

Anyone else see Jack as the abusive husband in his re"hate"tionship with Tony? I mean Jack has always kicked his ass (S2, shoving match in S3, twice this season), Tony was held hostage by Mandy only to be saved by THE BLACK MANNING FIST, up until he went Ninja Raiden on Starkwood Tony usually prefers a gun in combat, I think in the video game when you pressed the attack button he shows he CTU badge and goes “Freeze!” and his anti-pussy aura is somewhat worse than Dubaku’s. Plus Tony always lets his feelings dictate his actions, rather than the other way around like men…I mean Jack does.

lol

Spoiler

So Jack can’t kill his “wife” after all. Which is why Renee is probably going to do it

Rips of the finale are up for the taking.

lol yeah, I’m looking at them right now :wasted:

Season Finale = meh

Can’t wait to see how things will play out next season

not a bad season finale. it was more emotional than it was action packed.
the scene where tony wanted to kill wilson and admitted he not only lost michelle but his son was touching. muslim coming to see jack before he died was touching also.

for a split second i thought renee was working for wilson, the way they looked at each other when renee opened the door into wilson’s holding cell. but then i guess she closes it and lets him live?
Az, you owe us like three recaps (tomorrow of course).

That’s what they kept saying. They = writers

Wait… it was on TV already? Or are you guys just seeing it ahead of time?

The finale eps leaked early because the DVD’s on sale Tuesday. I’ll stream from the usual place when I get free time, then rant about how lame this season was.

(neatly wrapped in a spoiler-tagged package, of course)

This spoiler ain’t revealing too much.

Kim Bauer’s Misadventure in the finale

Spoiler

Kim said the legendary Bauer “DAMMIT” in the finale!

Lol! I’m just waiting for the COUGAR to make it’s triumphant return.

Hrm.

Spoiler

She did that before, in S2 or S1 I think.

…the more I think of how “incompetent” Janis has been this season, the more I remember CTU Kim in S3.

Someone kill me.

Yeah! PSYCHO BAUER got SICKHOUSE on those science geeks!

I love how Walker has picked up subtle Bauer mannerisms in this episode.

Goddamn that was hot…I’d love Renee to get rough with me like that…like she wants to have violent, angry sex.

anyway, this season has been on fire. 24 kicks the ass of everything else on tv.

S7 wrapup including both finale eps

[details=Spoiler]
Yeah so the Starkwood arc, starting from Juma’s death and ending when Tony killed Moss, almost made me give up on the show, it was that boring and ham-fisted. Because the bottom line is, the threats on 24 are tired. CIP was completely stupid, the bioweapon was completely stupid, the duress threats were completely stupid. What made S7 seem fresh was Jack and his peers actually taking a pause to look back at all the fucked up shit that’s been happening on 24 at a breakneck pace. S7 has some of the better character development of the whole series except nothing really went anywhere in the Starwood arc.

Now, ‘taking pause’ not only means stopping to look at the moral burdens Jack and company has to carry, and how they deal with what they’ve become (which explains why Tony crossed the line Jack hasn’t had the opportunity to cross yet), but also getting to the bottom of who’s been orchestrating and funding all these attacks and conspiracies (specifically on Los Angeles!). I know 24 is all about ‘whup ass first ask questions later,’ but it’s nice to see S7 cover a lot more ground and finally ask/answer some questions.

In the end, Zombie Tony was a pretty decent gamble, and once he finally blurted out his motive, it falls in line with everything the character’s been through for the whole series.

Taylor not pussying out on her weasely family was a good touch, especially since Ethan is on board (and sliding in for the rebound). It’s pretty easy to see the outcome if she covered the whole thing up, but it was nice to see something good happening from holding your integrity.

And Jack passing the Matrix of Psycho-ship to Renee sounds cool on paper, but that last scene made the concept of Psycho Jack look stupid. So, every government agent that’s had a lot of stress and personal loss is gonna go postal to get somebody to talk, and their colleagues are supposed to be okay with it? Yeah, retarded.

And Kim’s looking pretty damn good.

I enjoyed this season, start to finish.

Damn ending

hell yeah, Ethan…get that rebound, mayne.

*Olivia’s still a hot one, imo… I’d love to give her my own special brand of punishment. She looks like such a naughty, naughty girl.

*Hot Asian Doc appears again in this finale, so of course that made my day.

*Kim had too much clothes on this season, which really sucks since I can tell she has a bit more thickness now. I still detected some tit-jiggle in the scene at the airport.

You pretty much summed up my feelings off the bat.

Jack

[details=Spoiler] He made peace with himself, which makes me wonder what will happen to him next season. Renee’s action is indicative of someone who feels there’s nothing more at stake after all she’s been through, in some ways Tony, Jack, and Renee are all from the same mold- just with minor structural defects during their hardening process.

It seems one of the main perpetrators, alan wilson, is not only unapologetic or frightened, but downright sociopathic in his thought process. From start to finish he had nothing to show but a putrid condescending smirk. This tells me that what he’s apart of is probably bigger than we realize, permeating the world’s order.

It is amazing what Tony put himself through just to get to one man, just for the sake of revenge. Normally our moral compass only exists when we have relatively easy decisions, but when you have nothing to lose, all it takes is a singleminded purpose to give your life meaning. Tony was willing to sacrifice everything and anyone just for this goal, ironically costing him the same humanity he treasured with Michelle.[/details]

Life.

I liked the end. I think they should skip season 8 and just end the series. I’d be happy with that.
