without tony allen, i don’t think they are intimidating defensively. dude’s not fundamental, but he’s a hustler in all fashions of the word on that end of the floor. but they aren’t going to have an easy time on the inside with everyone playing them 4 on 5.

This playoff drought for the Suns is really affecting the fanbase. There was few enough people that they actually had to bring some people from the nosebleeds down a floor to make the arena look more full. Add that they were selling tickets up to 30% off during the weekend (wish I knew this a month ago) and it’s not looking good. Hopefully the Suns do well this year or it’s gonna look kind of ugly.

Now I didn’t see the game, but I kept an eye on the score and Lakers should of won this game plain and simple. However, Byron managed to fuck up the rotation by putting Bass and Kelly on the floor together. I don’t know what kind of half ass coaching is that, you do that kind of shit in the preseason not the first game of the season. Tarik Black getting a DNP is just unacceptable, his energy out on the court is something the Lakers can use badly. I know Russell is a rookie in all, but he’s gonna have to start producing a bit more. He hasn’t really shown why he went #2 overall while Okafor gets better day by day.
Some good things to come out of this was Randle’s double double, this kid is out for blood. Kobe looked great too, and Lou Williams very, very good off that bench. Him and Swaggy P, and Black are the only ones who should be coming off the bench regularly.
i always thought we should run Lee and Barnes in the starting lineup, and have Green and Allen off the bench.
TA isnt a TOTAL liability on O, he can slash when need be and as you guys say, he’s a hustler, so garbage points and transition buckets are his specialty…i se Jorger wants his top tier D out there to start the game tho…i honestly think playing off TA doesnt really matter that much…Grizz FG% was just horribad tonight and those misses werent due to the help D… wide open misses and turnovers all night…missed rebounds that are usually gimmies for our bigs… i even saw Conley dribble the ball off his own foot at one point…smh…just unforced errors all around…they looked very cliche “out of sync”…they should bounce back tho…i just think the Cavs came out the gate swinging after that loss to CHI and MEM was in slo mo start the season, get the kinks out mode and got ran off the floor…
The rotations were awful and he waited until the lead dwindle down in order to make a change and put Huertas in. I still don’t see why Black didn’t play either
but I won’t harp on it because it was the first game, but we should have came out with a win.
People are complain about Kobe but he was playing great up until the 4th, when Byron brought him back in to save the game after sitting around 40 minutes of real time. Players in their prime can’t sit that long and be expected to take over.
