Official 2016 NBA Off-Season Thread: Westbrook staying in OKC for 3 more years. Confirmed MVP

The camera man’s like, “Okay, slowly pan out…”

Ugly, ugly game for the Raptors (especially the 2nd half). Injury scares, refs blowin’ the whistle constantly, and players just getting frustrated by it all. I know it’s just one game, but I hope I don’t look back at this one as the beginning of another collapse after the All-Star break. This is a game the Raps really should have won (they were up by 18 at one point). Hopefully this break will shake off the feelings of this L and the winning can continue.

Towns is really special. The man just turned 20 a couple of months ago and is playing like he should be in the game on Sunday. I am excited to see what he will achieve throughout his career.

I guess that’s Keef’s idea of being a leader.

Edit: And here we go

Did Morris just completely lose it after his brother was traded?

I just went to his wikipedia page and as of right now, it says “Markieff Morris (born September 2, 1989) is a classless loser for the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association (NBA)”

I agree with Geo, the Warriors passing is most often what really kills teams down the road.

Damn and why did the Mavs shoot so many bad 3’s even when it was clear, Deron tried but couldn ot order the team against the Jazz. Totally winable game and coach does not trust any Dirk or Zaza backups again. I don’t think that’s a good sign, honestly Zaza can use more rest like in that particular game.

So the drama continues.

I never really watched Houston games. Did Dwight ever really get back to his Orlando Magic days? Was he a bust in Houston, or somewhere in between? He obviously didn’t do well on the Lakers, but I attribute that to him recovering along with so many other team injuries and coach changes. But he’s been in Houston for awhile and wondering what fans think.

Glad that cancer decided to go to Houston.

dwight leaves orlando revisited… knowing what he knows now, does he still leave orlando or simply find another place to play not the lakers and rockets?

staying in orlando would be saying he realizes that a good situation is worth working through rough times.
still moving on shows he still doesn’t understand why he keeps failing.

Actually Dwight has been solid the past 2 months, doing 16 ppg and 13 rpg. The problem with him is he doesn’t put Houston over the top like they thought he would. Plus he’s missed nearly a dozen games, so you never know when his back will act up.

So… both Whiteside and Howard are being shopped. Is this when Sheridan starts saying “I told you so” and they get swapped?

Morey

i have no doubt in my mind that morey will do something to come out on top of this whole situation. dude is good at reconciling the immediate situation.

i still think he has issues as a gm. i think the push towards moreyball is very disconnected from how basketball is played in reality, and he doesn’t think far enough down the line to build up a year after year contender with a good foundation.

but this dude will grift himself out of a bad situation. this situation is exactly where he shines.

Remains true even today, another big difference is that I don’t think he’s as dominant defensively with the Rockets as he was in Orlando. He certainly wasn’t as formidable, so contribute that to aging and situations with the roster.

Dwight’s defensive effort has gone down with each new baby momma he impregnated.

Dwight is another T.O. aka Team Obliterator in the NBA. What has he really done to improve his game since he came into the league? He reached his “ceiling” so fast and refused to improve on becoming a better player and leader. All he wants to do now is maximize the amount of money he can suck out of being an NBA player.

I watched a bit of the Houston game last night when they were down by double digits in the fourth. Dwight was at the line brickin’ free throws, laughin’ and high-fivin’ fans. It just seems as if he really doesn’t care anymore. I will admit, I laughed my ass off because he looked like a goof, but I could imagine his teammates and Rocket fans not appreciating his nonchalant attitude.

Houston has way more issues than just Dwight, Harden and his lack of effort in their other aspects outside of offense this year has really set the team back he just wants his points and that’s it. As for the rest of the team they are up and down so it’s rough to gauge I mean we have guys who catch fire for a month or so and then suddenly turn into ice cubes for a good chunk of games.

Consistency is the name of the game and we don’t have jack of it.

omg, this is the best thing i’ve read all day.

EDIT: OMG YESSSSSSSS

D-Fish is a legend.
