It was a botched suicide squeeze. Byrnes decided to pull back his bunt because the pitch was a little low. Still pathetic.
It’s funny because the Rangers coach assumed on a suicide squeeze the batter would try bunting the ball no matter where it was pitched. So he started arguing with the ump about why he called it a ball and ended up getting ejected.
That is how bad Byrnes failed.

I just picked up Pelfrey due to the amazing ERA he was carrying throughout April…prior to today’s game. Today he only goes 4 innings, has an ERA of 13.50 and takes a loss. 
Bad timing, bro. Tomorrow, I am going back to Seattle until August.
