You’re coming to the Game Galaxy Arcade in Antioch, Tennessee to INFERNO DIVIDER everyone in GAUNTLET HADES while CARNAGE SCISSORS with DEAD SPIKE !

Tell all your friends! I don’t wanna hear any distance excuses. Alabama? Georgia? Ohio? Knoxville? There’s a Super 8, Country Inns & Suites, Knights Inn, and many more right down the street from the venue on Bell Road for out-of-staters.

Middle Tennessee Needs Times!
Last Saturday of every month
October 29th. November and December are break months.

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift 2 and Smash Melee signups start at TWELVE NOON. If you’re bringing equipment, I need you here earlier.** Tournament should start at 12:30(approximately). **We will stay on schedule as much as possible. I need every participant at the scene directly at 11:55. Venue opens up at 10. Closes at 9. PLEASE be on time. I will consider starting without you if you are late unless I am informed ahead of time.
Revolving Mystery Game Signups will take place at 4:00pm. Start Time is to be determined.
Street Fighter 3rd Strike: Online Edition signups are 5pm, will start at 5:30pm, and holds to the same time restrictions imposed above. I will start without you.

Middle Tennessee Needs Rules!

  • Hosting on Xbox360, setups are encouraged. If you’re coming, please bring a 360(we’ll put your name on it in case we have some unsavory types) with a game, and television. Please no composite cables on a flatscreen. Please confirm with me if you can bring one.
    Melee, please bring a Gamecube or Wii and a copy of Melee. Confirm with me if you are bringing equipment, please.

-** Top placers of the month will be seeded into next month’s brackets.**

  • If you have a wireless controller it has to have a sync cable attached throughout the whole set and must be turned off after the set is finished. Other TO’s will DQ you for this.

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift 2
- If you pause an already started match and your hair is -not- engulfed in flames, you forfeit the rebel.

  • $5 Entry
  • First to 2 wins, Best 2 out of 3 rebels
  • First to 3 wins, Best 2 out of 3 rebels for finals games (losers, winners, grand)
  • Double elimination so don’t get emo if you lose once.
  • Time limit will be at 99.
  • All Characters are allowed.
  • No Unlimited Characters
  • No Beginner Mode
  • Winner of a match must retain their character. Loser may switch.

Super Smash Bros: Melee
$10 Entry
Gamecube or Wii, as long as it plays.

  • 4 stocks, 8:00 minutes
  • Items OFF
  • Sets are best-of-3, except all Finals, which are best-of-5.
  • Ties after the time limit are determined by stocks, then by percentage.
  • Wobbling is banned.
  • Master Hand is banned.
  • Glitches such as IC’s Freeze Glitch and Mewtwo’s Soul Stunner are banned.
  • Stalling with Jigglypuff’s Rising Pound or Peach’s Wall Bomber is banned.
  • Dave’s Modified Rule: You cannot counterpick the stage you last won on in a set unless agreed upon by the opponent.

Stage Strike in “1221” fashion to determine the first stage of the set:

  1. First player strikes one stage
  2. Second player strikes two stages
  3. First player strikes one stage

After each match:

  1. Winner announces stage ban
  2. Loser chooses counterpick stage
  3. Winner chooses their character
  4. Loser chooses their character
  • A player’s spot in the tournament may not be replaced by another person.
  • No one may make any action that is a clear attempt to distract another player and/or obstruct their ability to interact with the game.
  • Any action that can prevent the game from continuing (freezing, disappearing characters, game reset, etc.) will result in forfeiture of the match for the player that initiated the action. You are responsible for knowing your own character, and must be wary about accidentally triggering one of these effects.

Street Fighter 3rd Strike: Online Edition

  • $5 Entry
  • Cash Bonus prize to winner. 10$ by default, increases by 10 for every five entrants beyond ten (i.e. $20, for 15, $30 for 20 and so on.)
  • Hosting on Xbox360, please bring your own controller or stick, however, we do have sticks and controllers on hand if not in use.
  • If you’re using a wireless controller, it must have a sync cable attached to the console at all times and MUST be desynched after the match.
  • Pausing a match, for any reason results in a loss of that round.
  • Default Parameters.
  • A stage may be -agreed upon- otherwise it’s randomly selected.
  • One match is best 2 out of 3 rounds. To advance, a player must win 2 out of 3 matches for all normal match-ups.
  • Winners, Losers, and Grand finals are best 3 out of 5 matches.
  • During a match-up, Winning player may not switch characters, but loser may.
  • Gill may not be selected.

Revolving Mystery Game, September 24th
Double Elimination if time permits.
$1 Entry Fee. May increase to $2 Entry Fee before tournament date.
Each column of brackets will face off in a different game than other columns. Likewise, top side of brackets and bottom side of the brackets will feature different games from each other even in the same column. Expect wacky and crazy ideas and not necessarily versus games, either. Score Attack, Time Attack, and unusual ways to play across all platforms are possible!

Middle Tennessee Needs Food!
Out and to the right is whatever food you can handle. We will officially break around 3 o’clock pm for some grub. Group vote to raid IHOP or Steak N’ Shake afterward. If you bring food or drink in the venue, please throw it away when you’re done.

Middle Tennessee Needs Other Announcements and Recaps!
Venue Fee is an additional 10 dollars. We’ll be playing in The Staging Room. Money Matches are allowed, just let me know so we can all hype it.
BlazBlue: Entry fee is 5 dollars,
Street Fighter 3rd Strike: Online: Entry fee is 5 dollars.
Super Smash Brothers: Melee Entry fee is 10 dollars.
Revolving Mystery Game: Entry fee is 1 dollar per person.

Always looking for new, accessible versus games that can be competitive. Just clue me in and if we can stir up a following(12 plus people), i’ll run it.

Pots are always 60/30/10 unless i’m feeling whimsical.
Mystery Game is 80/20.

All or most MTNG matches will be recorded and posted to Youtube ASAJC(As Soon As Jackie Can). I’ll also be around taking walkaround videos and pictures.

For November and December we will take a break due to holidays and the restraints placed on everyone during that time. We will start back up either January or February.
