STADIUM STATUS is an up-and-coming music collective that consists of rappers and producers. But we’re also big time gamers and love the community, so in collaboration with BurkeHill management and in order to celebrate the completion of rapper FlowJoe’s debut mixtape titled, “Viewtiful Joe” we decided to throw a tournament/party. Here are the details:
Where: Duke’s Bar
Located on 99 East 19th Street at Park Avenue South
Transportation by train: You can take the 4, 5, 6, N, Q, R, and L train to Union Square 14st. and just walk a few blocks up.
When: Casuals start at 6pm.
We will do friendlies for about an hour or two and then prep for the tourney. We will begin whichever tournament has less players first. Either way we are beginning tourneys at 8pm.
Games: We are only running tournaments for Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 & Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition. If you want to bring other games for friendlies you are more than welcome to due so. Just know that when it’s tournament time those games are getting shut off due to the limited amount of setups.
Setups: Since there are only 7 stations currently, if you have the ability to bring an extra setup you are more than welcome to do so and will be accommodated for that. (AKA FREE ENTRY)
By Setup I mean monitor and xbox along with either Marvel/StreetFighter
BYOC - Bring Your Own Controller. PERIOD. We are limited on setups and arcade sticks and controllers, our staff will be lending theirs out however, if you do not have a stick present when your match is called you may be DQ’ed. Also, NO WIRELESS CONTROLLERS.
Prices:Venue Fee: 15$ (All you can eat buffet included)
Marvel Entry: 10$
SSF4AE Entry: 10$
Winning Pot: 70/40/15 of tournment entrance fee.
A portion of the venue fee from the event will be donated to public schools as well.

*For our 21+ gamers we will have alcoholic beverages available which would also be included in the Venue Fee. More info on that coming soon. . .
