2 weeks ago Yipes was saying on Cross Counter TV that they were struggling to find the 16 players for the tourney, many players they approached said no, and that there’s a good chance of it being cancelled. It’s just like that 3S revival match in EVO, such matches are really hard to put up because the ones who are still in the scene would have moved on to other games and the ones who refused to move on wouldn’t have been active in the scene. Neo vs Clockw0rk was the final farewell for MvC2, it would be arrogance to try topping it.
it’s not about trying to top it, it’s about wanting to see more MvC2 period. It’s my favorite game of all time
exactly,MVC3 just isnt as satisfying or Hype as mvc2 people use to work their asses off to make a comeback but now all it takes is CHING! Xfactor and your opponent to make 2 mistakes and you lose.
Out of curiosity or maybe it was just me, but did it seem like almost everyone was dropping combo’s a lot in AE? Maybe I am just crazy but it seemed weird.

i had a blast this weekend. Met all the Top players, met and shred a room with Krak3r & his GF (who is a really cool guy and has a bunch of SF Swag), had an awesome money match with Mike Ross (made him work for his wins lol), had a bunch of boba tea, and got my TE Stick signed by almost everyone except tokido and 1 other person, but ill get them later along with seth killian and yoshinori ono. Ill definately be going to EVO and Mike Ross if you see this, my T.Hawk is unorthodox for a reason lol
People were dropping combos in MvC3 and AE. A lot of mess ups.
Also lol to mvc3 end. Really? That’s like getting hype over 2 idiots on a game show playing track & field with the step pad for a few grand.
Before anyone gets dumb, I didn’t call Viscant or Flocker idiots, I’m saying the nature of what they did is similar to that of those in that kind of thing.

Outside of the Phoenix mirrors Flocker and Viscant both played well. Especially Flocker. That guy is godlike with or without Phoenix.
No doubt. I saw Flocker play earlier and he was solid. I just think its stupid that it comes down to THAT at the end, for thousands of dollars. But if that’s what it takes to win, I guess go for it. Mayweather is a good boxer but his last fight was won with a sucker punch, $25 million.
