Shoutouts to running 3sOE on Xbox. There is something DEFINITELY wrong with PS3 version. no question about it. 360 version is the only version I am aware of locals running right now. I know all of VA and NC and WNF are running Xbox version. I understand converter issues, but even with a perfect controller, the PS3 version of 3SOE is not tournament worthy imo. This opinion is shared by most if not all top 3s players afaik. Please ensure, no matter how many PMs, that 360 is used for 3sOE at SB.

------ Third Strike system choice------
3s is driving me crazy, I’m just hearing now about this renewed console debate about how much offline PS3 lag there really is. I don’t have time to test it myself on a CRT, and we’ve been telling people it’ll be 360, so I really don’t want to change it. But I want to do what the community prefers and I was under the impression that the PS3 port was junk, although at the tournament I was it, it might have just been not set up correctly (sprite filters off, PS3 720p)
lol if you have an opinion get at me on Facebook or post in this thread and we’ll make a change if necessary before the weekend is over. FACE just posted, I;ve talked to Fubarduck, who both vouch for 360 if we at SB are down for the hassle of running it on a different system – and I am because it will only take a couple sticks.

360 3s is the superior version, and should be tournament standard.
Didn’t this thread 3S:OE Input Lag Testing prove the versions are identical as far as lag is concerned?
“It doesn’t mean there is no lag or weirdness or bugs anywhere else in the game” – there’s this in that OP as well. All I know is there was something REALLY wrong with the PS3 version when I played on it. Like I said, the system was maybe not set up to eliminate lag, so that’s why I wanted more input.
It’s enough to hear from more established 3s heads in favor of 360 than PS3 at this point, so I’ll gladly use the 360 version as the preferred version as we intended to do since the next-gen port was released.
btw we have CRTs around so we should be able to play 3s on CRT even though GG will be prob running at the same time as a side game.
Great news, with so much Marvel stuff announced already I’m glad to see you guys show SF4 a little more love. It’ll be interesting to see who gets on the US. Team World on the other hand, I’m pretty sure we all know which players will be apart of that 5 man line up.
