[Oct 14, 2011] Season's Beatings: Velocity - U.S. vs. World 2, $5K MvC3/SF4 (Columbus, OH)

I register a friend and I in on the first day of open registration. I was just wondering if we should have received a confirmation e-mail by now for our registration, or if I messed something up during the process. I have my paypal recipts for the two separate transactions, but was just wondering if anyone else has received confirmation e-mails or if we will be reciving them at all.

Anyone got any info? We are coming down from Canada for this and really do not want to miss this awesome event.

Another question. Will there be CS2 casuals on Friday and Saturday because I have to leave on Sunday first thing in the morning. If yes, where?

if I go i might consider playing 3s kenin i play yun now as well as duds

Sorry man I got the team thing figured out.

SweetJohnnyCage/Me/Sayco, its looking pretty good.

I hope you find a team though, hope you go most importantly! We need to get games in I don’t even think we played last year haha.

Meh thats ok. Im not playing that serious anymore anyway.

I apologize for the late reposponse, but Sol-Bumguy and I were having a lot of trouble with getting the days off for SB (especially me), but now, we are finally able to attend and we will be RUNNING the Guilty Gear XX AC side tournament(s) at Seasons Beatings: Velocity!

We understand that the EVO GG tournaments did not run and finish as well as we would have liked them to, but this time, things will be different; we have recently purchased a Laptop for school (so we can use that to create the brackets, and seed everyone VERY QUICKLY), we will be bringing our recording equipment (matches WILL BE recorded) and we will be DQing people who do not show up on time/holds up the tournament-- so please make sure that you check with the TOs before leaving the area, and please report your wins/losses… Again, we plan to start and finish on time, so that teams can happen and finish, as well. Regarding the time: Due to the Venue practically opening for the MvC3 pools, Fugee told me that the EARLIEST we can start the tournament is at 7:00PM, but because the venue closes late (1AM or 2AM, IIRC), we can STILL run teams after singles finish (or finish top 8-3 on Sunday), if everyone shows up and the tournament runs as quickly/smoothly as possible.

Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core (PS2) - 3v3 Teams (Tentative/If time permits)
**Date: *Friday, October 14th, 2011 (after singles) or Sunday, October 15th, 2011 at Noon.

**Entry fee: **$5.00 per team member.

Pot will be split 75%/25% (1st/2nd), or if there’s a decent amount of people (>20) 70%/20%/10% (1st/2nd/3rd).

Rules:
- Each player MUST use same character for the entire duration of the tournament, players are not allowed to use the same character as their team member(s)-- Ex: Slayer/Testament/Slayer, etc.

- After team member loses match, next team member plays.
- No EX, gold, or shadow characters.
- Kliff and Justice are banned.
- Button mapping is allowed.

If a player fails to show up 10 minutes after being called for his/her match, then he/she will be sent to the loser’s bracket and/or disqualified. However, this may change if he/she is still in his/her pool for another tournament (ex: MvC3, SSF4, etc). We would like to allow the tournament(s) to run smoothly & on time, so please try to arrive on time for your match-- in order to make things easier for everyone. I was also considering adding a small pot-bonus for GG singles (not that I have a lot of money or anything, but I want to add more hype to the tournament(s) ).

**If it is all right with everyone, I will start a pre-reg list. Please post or PM your name, location and if possible, days you will be at EVO/other games you have entered (if necessary). To ensure that everyone is seeded correctly, your location is REQUIRED. However, on site sign-ups are also welcomed, but IMO, pre-registering is better to ensure the bracket is made well in advance and to help everything run more smoothly…Also, if possible, please bring a set-up and extra copy of GGXX:AC. IMHO, we need AT LEAST 3 set-ups, even if there are less than 40 entrants. The more organized things are, the better the chances are of running teams. By the way, I will contact the SB staff (again) to try to guarantee that we will have space “reserved” for the tournament. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. **

Again, apologizes for the late reply/announcment, but we have been working with Fugee and Ghaleon to organize this since August, so please post up or PM us if you are attending SB’s and wish to pre-register. Also, please remember that you MUST PRE-REGISTER as a GUEST or PLAYER at http://www.godlike-entertainment.com/ to ATTEND Seasons Beatings-- you WILL NOT be let into the building if you DO NOT pre-register in advance…So please register ASAP. Help with the tournament/finding players is always welcomed and encouraged. Get hype <3

I notice with registration on the site it costs 30 dollars for 3s.

So is it $30 a team member so $90 a team or is that a error?

Let me know, thanks.

i believe its only one person from the team pays and you let them know who is on the team.

Yeah, it’s $30/team. This was the easiest way to set it up. We’ll have a list of all the 3s stuff at the venue so we can take care of everyone and make sure the money situation is correct for everyone.

I just got confirmation of another foreign player today, who’s never been to the U.S. Won’t post anymore until it’s in stone, but very excited! More sponsor info/prizes coming in the next week or two as well I hope.

Remember to register by the end of Sept. to get TWO tickets in our registration raffle and to dodge the increased fee. We’ll announce the date the price is going out this coming week.

The Paypal receipt is all the official confirmation you need, as we both get the same receipt.

Thank YOU to the Guilty Gear faithful coming out and supporting your game! I’m really glad we can accommodate GG, which has such a long tournament tradition and dedicated community.

Casuals for any game can be done in the karaoke room, and on the main floor’s few available TVs (which will be mostly free after 10 pm Fri/Sat) – first come, first serve.

Will mk9 be done entirely on saturday or will finals/top whatever be sunday? As far as I can tell only pool play is listed with no mention of the finals.

Anyone has room for me in there room? I got you witht thee moneyz .

FingerCramp will be invading a Seasons Beatings near you. Keep it up guys.

Well

Fc Hak
Fc Homeless
Fc Andre/Jago
Fc Cardell

MK will finish on Saturday unless something really crazy comes up that forces us to change that.

I got some more great potential news on int’l guests yesterday, so hopefully I can announce some things very soon and all the people tripping out internationals can rest easy about getting hype for SB. If things pop off the way we are hoping we might create a new special event as well.

So hype for 3s.

Um also about the 10v10 EC vs MW.

I guess the MW can discuss amongst themselves what the team should be and who the captain/whatever should be. I obviously can’t say anything about because I don’t truly know about the MW community all that well.

In terms of EC, we probably won’t have that many people anyway so I want to see who is there first and then we can make the team from that. Me/Sayco/Knuckledust/Face/Jibbo/SweetJohnnyCage seem like they are going so thats more than half the team right there but yeah.

Also what position to guys feel about in terms of characters? Only 1 of the same character on the team? 2 of the same character on the team limit? 3? Let me know guys.

If anyone is needing a room for SB hit me up,me and Truehood are trying to find one more person to make the room cheaper. got the room from oct13-16th

Just do a smaller MM or something. Large team crap takes too much time and space.

If I come to Columbus, i want to team with some people in SSFIV:AE, Mortal Kombat, Marvel vs Capcom 3 and 3rd Strike. Hope anybody will be interested? Let me know. Thanks. Also I want to know what’s going on with registration. Please give me any info you guys have.

hey guys if you have a 360 TE Stick or any stick for that matter, you DONT need to mod your stick. I have converters that will enable you to use them on the PS3. I WILL bring so dont worry about it. Just look for me (JSUN2K)

What time is Tekken starting?
