3 alright moves that could see more use are optic sweep (qcb + p)
and optic throw (qcb + p up close)
cyke combo (charge back , foward P)

optic sweep is pretty damn slow but someone said before it counters hsf, if you’re already doing optic sweep when sentinel gets the super flash then sure it’ll counter and trip him up but not practical by any means… the move sucks otherwise and if you try to do it on reaction to the superflash cyke gets pegged by the lower drone.
Only use I know of for his command throw is a free tag in, his normal throws are way better, can find at least one of them to combo into most major assists.
charge throw doesn’t lead to a free infinite in the corner anymore like it did in xvsf so I never see it abused anymore but it might have uses like gief’s charge throw catching people on rolls or whatever, does good damage at least… might beable to combo into some assists to be made useful but I dunno, never experimented.
when u do optic sweep during the flash. cant u roll after the second set of drones? i really dunno 4 sure but u would think right???
you can set up cykes qcb + p command throw in the corner after a juggle combo. sort of like how you would setup sim’s noogie command throw.
i dont use optic sweep alot…actually…i never use it.
for his charge back, forward + kick throw, i sometimes use it after a midscreen FS…when the opponent wakes up (if i land close enough)

is the command throw untechable? might be useful if so if not then why use it over his normal throws into assist into whatever.
I think it is untechable, but i’m not 100% sure.
IMO, if used right, Optic Sweep can be very useful. I use it all the time and it works. You just have to make sure the character isn’t jumping towards you or isn’t too close. I use it+Sent’s drones to keep certain characters away at certain times, or when the enemy is close to death, i cancle it into MOB(They never expect that). Also, if they get hit by it, i cancle it into MOB or SOB(So Cyke doesn’t get raped if they roll) because people aren’t really used to seeing that move used, they don’t always roll… I used it a lot when i played my sister(The best player i have to practice with)&the top players of Arizona and i didn’t get raped:) So don’t be afraid to mess around with stuff, we just need time to work with certain stuff in order to discover it’s usefulness:) I also used it a lot in my match vids(Not that i’m proud of those).
I think the charge throw is good, also. I think one of the best times to use it is in or near the corner. Here’s what i sometimes do: Get them near the corner, call Sent’s drones(Or a similar assist), do a J.HK+charge, wait for drones to leave, but make sure that the character is still in blockstun, push forward+K…
If they don’t roll, you can Air Combo, infinite(I think) or C.LK, S.HK XX Gene Splice XX MOB or SOB…The air combo i usually use is:Launch, SJ.LP, LK,MP, Pause, LP, MP XXDouble-Jump, LP, LK, MP, MK, HP, HK.

I think I’d rather stick with leg scissors into drones that’s a far better throw than command grab ever will be even with the risk of tech hits included.
Optic sweep though… might consider using it a bit, damage on it is higher than optic blast, has a huge startup delay but better recovery than ob, might be good if you hit em with an optic bullet with drones going towards their face covering the startup. I dunno if the recovery is that good though I’ll give it a try.
dude, optic sweep goes under sentinal spit. so if you know when theyre gonna c.fierce, try the optic sweep, like after drone super or whatever.
optic sweeps comboes into MOB if they dont roll, its obscure enough that they might not roll on reaction.
Hey im kinda new to playing cyclops but ummm are there any other ways to do his double jump combos and can u use the command grab into the infinite setup too??? thanks
cyke combo (sonic boom motion) comboes into qcf+kk on the 5th hit (2nd to last) I think it is.
not useful, but if you start hitting them by accident with this move, cancel into the super to do some ok damage.
you sure? i thought that too but i could never get it to connect since i think the fifth hit pops them up some but i could get it to connect on the first or second hit no problem.
