How much of a difference is there really, both in noise and feel, between this solution and just plain OBSFS?
I need a solution for quiet buttons. I’d be paying more than double, if I go the OBS-MX route. I mean, I’ll gladly pay the difference if it is actually that meaningful.
Either OBS-MX OR OBSF/OBSC benefit from Kahuna pads over other pad alternatives (even Sanwa’s own pads). The change in feel with the Kahunas is minimal, when compared
In the case of the OBS-MX…I reallly believe that it’s dramatic enough to warrant breaking out the Exacto knife. If the Big Kahunas affect button feel for you too much, try the Little Kahunas. I use them on all my sticks with Sanwa buttons.
if you can find the right thickness + hardness for your liking + to make the cherrys work right (different than keyboard (depending on button stem length) then I would say that is definately my favorite.
If you really wanted to go ham, you could buy a rapid fire corsair keyboard and rip out the switches from that, they actuate faster, and barely have any travel /w 2 o rings on them.
These are the ones I use (I like the harder ones (less dampening, less mushy).
again, mileage may vary on Brian’s MX’s since I don’t know if he has compensated already for the 2MM actuation and 4MM travel (been a while since I have done any modding, finally found a stick\buttons I like and haven’t really used anything else)
