I wanna see data on the Iron Fist dragon kick assist (though I still wish Commando was around :P)
How easy it is to get good or evidence or not, I need percents in the end. I legit had that issue Seth Killian had on screen at comic con in one match and got about 7 pieces of bad evidence in a row one match.
Some good overall info in the assist me, but not too much we didn’t know already. More gameplay is nice though. Looking forward to potential match vids soon.
 I really like the fact that the character just progresses through increasingly more effective stages of awesomeness as his gameplan rolls on.
Even though Investigation mode is decidedly terrible, I think he clearly has the tools in place to transfer over to Courtroom mode very quickly and without too much detriment.
Is his Level 3 really 0 frames? If it’s true, that’s totally broken since it’s full-screen. XD
Also, I don’t think hitting three times with Hold It! causes a dizzying state. When Maximillian was explaining it I saw him hit Phoenix five times before she became dizzy. It probably is actually random.
I don’t think that PW’s level 3 is going to be broken at all, since most players are just going to play a runaway game against him when he’s in Turnabout Mode anyway.
after watching maxs video i am chuffed that his normals dont have as bad a recovery as was initially showcased. you can see in the vid he does PWs sneeze S move and then just cancels the recovery animation by walking forwards. they will be good to do just for show though as well ha ha.
his present evidence move while in turnabout mode is beastly! although i can see that getting the perfect combination of evidence that gives the best screen coverage will be pretty tricky to rely on in a match. it may be worth throwing away some good evidence as well in order to get that combination, provided you arent having a hard time collecting evidence in the first place.
0 frames basically means it hits during the super freeze, so if you weren’t blocking before the super freeze you will get hit. I don’t know any MVC3 examples but… iirc in SSF4 Rose’s Ultra 2 was a 0 frame move.
after watching those vids again i reckon the best combination of evidence in terms of total screen coverage etc will be
paper - full screen beam attack
cellphone - dante multi lock
knife - triple spead shot
unless there are some other things that make certain attacks unique (mainly talking projectile durability) i think the delayed multilock projectile will be incredibly important simply for its tracking ability. the fact it hits where ever the opp is on ground or in the air makes it better for aerial coverage than the vase move. the beam looks fast enough to be easily spammable after you have got the tracking orbs out for some decent chip, and the slow moving knife projectile covers a good portion of the ground and the air, and also looks like it gives oppertunity to spam the beam shot some more while it is still on the field. alternating between phone>paper>knife>paper>phone>paper etc etc plus assists would give PW a massive amount of control to the screen. I dread to think how much chip damage will be possible for wright while in turnabout level 3 xfactor, all the while building meter and possibly able to go into his level 3 off of any stray hit.
obviously you will need to be on guard for beam hypers etc, but i reckon between those 3 attacks, your opp could be getting stuck in blockstun quite a lot.
Way better, I’m scared of this guy now. If you couldn’t find the Evidence in like a split-second with that auto-find move(?) everything would look fair but he finds the evidence way to fast, and his powerup mode lasts super long too…Quick mid-screen pokes that do crazy DMG & Stun?..Pretty much instant beam/projectiles spam including multiple tracking shots + chip? + An instant FULLscreen 600K Super?..He’s gonna be just …insane. He has short normals tho but lol, whatever.
Sorry if im Ignorant on the character, but Im just going by from what I saw so far. Feel free to correct me lol but this dude looks crazy.
My impression of him is better because of confirmation that he can combo into/out of an Objection in the corner. Worries remain though. Investigation mode is ass, even though good evidence is so easy to get. His mobility and normals leave much to be desired. I still believe that people running away from a Turnabout Wright, even with those godlike pointer fingers, will be a problem.
I still think he’ll be a pretty good character, though.
Turnabout evidence projectiles are what makes Wright -truly- scary. If he gets at least 1 piece of homing evidence, you effectively have a homing vanilla disruptor. 90% of the cast would have no choice but to get chipped away or rush him down.
or play Dr Strange, and instant-counter punish evidence or Finger (finger seems to have projectile properties).
I’m honestly worried about PW though, he looks broken in the Jean way, altho not quite as extreme. As much as folks wanted him, that is not what this game needs.
Dunno, on paper, Turnabout mode seems difficult to get into with PW’s poor mobility and not-very-stellar normals. It’s not as easy as dying with five bars. I mean, yeah, getting good evidence is easy, and Turnabout is ridiculous. But landing the Bridge to the Turnabout is another story entirely.
