I really hope Phoenix turns out to be a top tier anchor character. Imagine the hype at evo if someone ends up making a big comeback with pursuit mode + xf3, ending with the level 3. Entire crowd would be on its feet by the end of it.

One thing thats bugging me after watching the vs video though. It’d be so much better if he just yelled out objection when he went into pursuit mode, as opposed to “I got all I need.” So sad 
Is it officially ‘Pursuit’ mode? Because I think Turnabout mode sounds much better.
Also, his walk forward move makes me think somebody’s been taking lessons from SF:tM:tG’s Sawada.

Wright’s beam projectiles have three variations it seems- I would presume :l: is a basic straight beam, 
spreads out in three, :h: is a single tracking beam.
and that Missile assist is almost impossible to see with all the craziness going on mid-match.
Judge gavel super can be used in the Pursuit phase.
HIS LEVEL 3 BUILDS METER. a shitton, it seems, like nearly 3/4 bar per finger point of justice.

Okay, more coherent thoughts:

[]He has -surprisingly- good health. He can take a full sentinel combo and live to tell the tale. Probably 800-900k, just comparing to Strider
[]That Maya (the girl he calls over) shield will be broken tier, I’m making the call right now. It can take at LEAST 3 hits, and lasts for-effing-ever. You can get 2 pieces of evidence before its even over. If this blocks both ways (meaning if PW is close to Maya it’ll still block regardless of cross-ups), this will be even MORE broken.
[]His fatal weakness will probably be either mobility or range; but that’s expected. He is more of a keepaway character, so no cross-ups, average dashing. That’s probably why he has Maya shenanigans to make up for it. I’d say he’s a combination of Modok/Arthur/Dorm, if that makes sense.
[]That all goes out the window in Objection mode though. HOT DAMN this stance is good. The objection finger is epic and covers half the screen, and you can combo into level 3 just from that single Objection. If the actual catalyst for the mode (Objection! speech bubble) is unblockable or easy to cancel into, I would argue that PW could potentially be mid-high tier.
[*]Judge gavel hyper is EFFING hype. Just how I imagined it would be. It does about Bionic Arm-ish damage from what I can tell. It even hits OTG for crying out loud. If this had the same or similar frames and/or had invincibility frames, PW just got real.

Conclusion: With Maya shenanigans and proper assists, I’d daresay we’ll get some PW in competitive gameplay for people to at least try using. He’s already more useful than Haggar as is. If he has respectable assists, we’ll see more PW in tournaments.
