OBJECTION! - The Phoenix Wright Thread

I would hesitate to call the DHC the DHC glitch, because you are free to DHC even after the character dies. That said, I understand where you’re coming from now better, thanks.

Well, then we will have to see if it can be looped. To the lab!

NP

But that’s the point. If you can carry the DHC glitch over by THCing, you could potentially make the incoming character come in after a really long time.

I’ll make a video which should explain everything (if it works).

Basically if you use maya super again after you’ve dhc’d and killed with it, you can extend the time even longer(and keep it going if you have more meter). Is what he’s saying skipper.

Any video of Leon’s match? I really want to see this!

It should be the one above in the twitch link at 8:30:00 ish.

Does BasicSausage still play? I want to steal his team, but I’d feel bad if he still plays.

Just steal it. There’s no shame in that. Look at how many people stole ShadyK’s Mag Doom Verg team.

Ya it really doesn’t matter, I guarantee you 90% of the people that play Nova/Spencer wouldn’t have ever bothered if Combofiend didn’t play that team. If anything you might flatter Sausage if he ever saw you play.

And that’s how you play the game.

I love how much Max doesn’t understand about this character. Not a single mention of plinking or his unblockable.

I don’t think anyone understands this character because they deem him unworthy and a waste of a character slot. He’s got problems, yes, but like a lot of underused characters, I think there just hasn’t been that one broken team with him yet. I know it exists. I was just theorycrafting this team too, minus spencer. But Spencer makes so much sense.

I can’t watch the video because I’m in China atm and Youtube is banned there, but based on the comments above, I guess Max’s PW sucked… Dat lack of character knowledge.

Which team was he using?

Morridoom or Magdoom + Wright might be worth exploring.

Whoops! I still can’t watch the video, but based off of the description on Eventhubs, I guess that @Uglywhen squared off against Max and Max got mindfucked when he saw him plink with PW or land the self-unblockable. Nice stuff.

Hey Uglywhen congrats on getting featured.

Probably nothing amazing but it’s an old recording of an unblockable setup in the corner with Nova and Wright.

Front roll: After f.:h: delay for a bit then call Wright and air dash back into j.:h:

Back roll: After f.:h: hits call Wright then air dash into j.:h:

Netural roll: Same timing as back roll (I think needs more testing)

However invincible startup moves could probably escape this setup. (I think) Even if you are faraway from the corner Nova already has a good corner carry combo (flight :l: :m: :h: :qcb::m:)

You never fail to impress Uglywhen, nice showcase there! I noticed that when you were comboing Max’s Dante as well as when you were fighting me that one time, you didn’t go for Lythero’s standard objection loop and instead used a different combo in turnabout mode. Is there a more optimal BnB? I never really bothered to experiment much since Lythero’s combo kills Thor with no required meter, but if there is a more optimal combo that either builds more meter or spends less turnabout time I would love to know.

Yeah, I noticed that wasn’t the standard :m::m::h::d::h: loop. Is it a better loop, or is it a combo specifically for landing some setup?

He was fighting against UglyWhen using PW / Spencer / Wesker. Max’s description of the setups and way the character works is so lacking, it was clear he had no idea wtf was going on w/ PW. He didn’t mention the plink, and got mindfucked when Spencer zipped + j.S while missile assist was coming towards his ankles. Also, his advice for self unblockable was, “Block high” lol.

I still use that loop as my main corner carry, but I’ve been working on all sorts of ways to use the break the witness loop in the corner. Maybe its time to work on a new video project… Well for now I’ll post the most damaging version I’ve found and see if it can be improved on:
c.:h:, s.:h:, jump forward, j. :d::h:, land, c.:h:, :dp::h:, c.:h:, :dp::h:, c.:h:, :f::h:, stun, c.:h:, :f::h:, :dp::h:
1.15 mil damage 2+ meter gain

overhead confirm
j.:h:, c.:h:, s.:h:, jump forward, j.:d::h:, land, c.:h:, :dp::h:, c.:h:, :f::h:, stun, c.:h:, :f::h: :dp::h:
1 mil damage <2meter gain

Granted the combo off the j. h is only slightly better than the justice loop in terms of damage and meter gain, but every little bit counts, and that one meter you save could easily determine the game. Also I don’t think these are hard to pull off at all, and you can insert the cellphone during the stun for more damage/meter/swag.
