No, he doesn’t work period. You’re gimping yourself by playing him competitively. Casuals sure, but the simple fact that he has to set up space to play a lottery game just to fight the other player effectively is enough to keep him horrible forever. Good luck though.

Anyone figure out how to go from the unblockable to an Objection?

Couldn’t you just do a jump in right as maya is about to hit low and do a launch into objection? Alternatively, you could use an assist to help you combo into objection after unblockables. What I do is after a slip up, zero’s ryuenjin assist connects > I do paperwork L > jump objection. If timed right the very last hit of paperwork will hit the airborne opponent and allow me to jump and get an air objection and lead that into a turnabout combo.

I can say that for almost the entire cast. You gonna go in half the character threads and say “Your character is bad, stop looking into him and look into the good characters”?

Wright is far from top tier but he does have his uses. He has some unique tools that can really compliment specific characters. There is more to him than calling maya and mashing evidence.

I’m just saying is, what the fuck is the point of you just coming in and saying it unprovoked? What, you think you’re gonna save everyone’s lives by making them switch characters?

I’m fairly sure that air Hold It!/Objection! is not an overhead. Might try that assist thing, though.

Does Paperwork Storm :l: hitstun scale less than Break the Witness :l:? Trying to do a Level Up combo with Frank, but they keep falling out.

Not sure of the specifics, but I know that Press/Break the Witness scales a ton.

Paperwork would probably be the go-to combo extender.

How much do you play zoning Wright versus footsie Wright in Trial Mode? Turnabout Mode?

My zoning Wright comes out when I have the advantage - when he has his better evidence, like the cellphone or photo, when the opponent’s point character is down, or when the opponent has little life left that can easily be chipped away with evidence. Other than that, I’m usually going to stick with using Maya Shield, da paypuh, and his more useful normals.

When I meant jump in during the unblockable, I meant do j.S not objection/hold it. So j.s > maya hits low > launch > objection

Is it practical to land an unblockable outside of the corner?

I think Generic Operator was the first to report about this. All you have to do is go for a tac while maya’s shield is active. The moment the shield becomes inactive the glitch won’t trigger. Triggers when they break your tac but you won’t go flying. Your opponent’s invincible for a certain amount of frames so you wanna be as high in the air as possible before you tac. I had moments where I tac’d low to the ground and they were still invincible when they reached the floor so mixups were useless. But yeah once you get it down it’s pretty cool since it’s a really good failsafe.
