I just had a scary thought.
What if Missile’s a low-hitting assist? He is really small after all…

Seth Killian to be streaming Phoenix Wright play at 4:30-5 EST on here according to his Twitter.
From what I’ve seen so far, this sounds about right.
That finger in Turnabout mode looks SO. CHEAP.
Aerial finger causes ground bounce, grounded finger causes wall bounce. You can use all those bounces, and his level 3 in a single combo.
Do you guys remember that twitter pic S-Kill posted a couple weeks ago? this one:
So now that we know what PW’s hypers are, what do you think this combo consisted of?
Like, how the hell could he have either of his level 1’s and his level 3 mixed into 1 combo? (I assume “4 bars” included lvl 3 + lvl 1)
Cause each of his hyper combos is only accessible in different modes.
And his Trial mode (which gives him the gavel hyper) puts him back into investigation mode. And the only way (we think) to change modes is by gathering more evidence (which is not a combo-able action).
My head hurts…
Okay, I know this is still speculation but I think I figured out the Phoenix Wright unassisted four-meter, 40 hit kill combo from Seth’s tweets while squinting really hard at the videos.
Premises:
#1 cr.LMH -> Maya Flailing does ~375k (we see this in the reveal trailer)
#2 Phoenix can do things like evidence search or stance change during Maya Flailing (we see this in the reveal trailer).
#3 Pursuit’s damage buff is significant enough that even after the cr.LMH -> Maya Flailing he can still get another 350kish out of a scaled pursuit combo into air pursuit combo.
#4 Conviction hyper does about 500-550k. (seems reasonable given it’s a level 3 with setup requirements, like Vergil’s apparently 600+k Devil Trigger level 3)
cr.LMH -> Maya Flailing (15 hits), stance change to courtroom during Maya Flailing, dash up, Objection! (16), LMHS (20-21 hits) MMHS (24-25 hits) Conviction (40).
There might be some flourishes I’m missing involving the finger point or specific use of his ground bounce, but I think this is pretty close.
No, double F, Phoenix can freely switch between Investigation and Courtroom modes. It’s the Pursuit Mode that is dependent on evidence.
He can do his Maya summon Hyper in both Investigation and Trial mode so I’m assuming he can do it in Turnabout mode as well. Also it seems like she stays on screen hitting for a decent chunk of time after Wright has recovered. In the reveal video he picks up like 2 pieces of evidence while she’s still hitting.
So maybe (in the corner?) he can do a poke poke poke combo with 3 or 4 big hands into ground bounce into Maya Hyper into relaunch into 3 or 4 more big hands into aerial series into level 3 OTG? Something like that anyway.
I was thinking that too. He very well might be, that would be really nice.
Turnabout Stance/Pursuit stance = Anti X-Factor
seriously he’s got enough buffs to deal with characters in XF I think. With the exception of LVL 3 XF Dark Phoenix, unless PW has Lvl 3 XFC himself while in Turnabout mode.
Phoenix Wrights other assists - “Paperwork high” and “Press the Witness”
Assists:
Paperwork (High)
Press the Witness
"Get 'em, Missile!"
Also Red “Edgeworth” alt confirmed
EDGEWORTH COLOR FOR WRIGHT
MIA COLOR FOR MAYA
is this a dream
Phoenix does the judge hammer slam in Turnabout mode, so I don’t think it matters.
Hahaha, that Edgeworth color is sweet. Also, I guess Niitsuma was 100% trolling when he said now PW at NYCC.
On the stream the guy just said that Wright’s alts consist of Ghost Trick references!!! And he’s got an Edgeworth alt that’s being shown off now.
Also Phoenix tripping seems to just be one of his attacks, as on the stream one person hit the other with it many times.
“I’m not a fan of things being thrown at me… but at least it wasn’t hot coffee!”
FUCK. LOL.
Also stream commentator mentioned a Godot alt but wasn’t sure (but it’s probably in so w/e)
Yeh that’s what it looked like. Either that of he was messin up something.
So is it possible to miss and OBJECTION then? Would you lose all your clues if that happens?
Also, who the hell picks Ryu and Wolvie and no new characters?
He’d see A LOT of play if it was true, because it’d practically be the same as a completely invincible low assist with full-screen coverage lol. I know a lot of chars would like that.
Gonna throw out what I think
The girl, Maya looks as though she can create a barrier similar to Modok’s however it looks as though it can be pushed back by certain attacks. She also comes to Nick’s aid in the form of a hyper… A very goofy hyper none the less with the sounds but w/e. NOTE that this hyper continues as Nick recovers from it before it is done. She also is used for Nicks OTG where she will run in and pick up the opponent off the ground by sliding, however I am not sure if Nick can combo off of this without an assist.
The “Judge” hyper can OTG. I am wondering if you be able to DHC it because it smacks both players.
Notice some evidence look to be food. Not sure if there is more then one food but one is definitely being shown healing him although it only heals his red health and I am not sure what percent is actually restored.
Nick is a stance character. 3 different stances to be exact; magnifying glass, his attorney badge and OBJECTION!.
The magnifying glass allows him to look for evidence and also toss evidence he does not want. The evidence will all probably deal set amounts of damage depending on what item it is. I can’t make out each piece of evidence but from what I see he can find food, a flower, a watch, documents, a photo or letter?, a knife, a cell phone, a bottle and something else I can not make out.
The attorney badge allows him to present the evidence, it may also allow him to throw papers out similar to Ammy but with a bigger range. Evidence presented shoot beams that shoot out in different angles depending on what item is being presented. “Judge” hyper if done in attorney stance puts him back in magnifying glass stance.
Objection! seems as though it can only be used if you have 3 pieces of evidence and you must be in attorney stance. OBJECTION! stance has a time limit (looks to be about 25 seconds or more duration currently). OBJECTION! allows him to point out huge arms which look like they cause a crap ton of stun and one also ground bounces. While in OBJECTION! stance the judge does not put you back in attorney stance if used but you still however get knocked down. OBJECTION! stance also allows Nick to use his lv 3. Also it is not really shown in the videos but once OBJECTION! stance runs out he loses all evidence and goes back to magnifying glass stance. OBJECTION! is also cool because it plays the best theme in the series while he is in the stance even if an opposing player loses a character.
SOME GREY SPOTS…
