It seems to me that we don’t see a lot of people breaking out the Dreamcast and sticks very often; there are a lot more people who play HDR (or classic mode) both offline and online, and that convenience is a big factor in that - do you disagree?

there are people that do a good job besides myself, and some…not so much. Plus it really is going to depend on how brent wants the commentary to be for his event. If he wants a more professional aspect (clean language etc.etc.etc.) or something where we can swear on the stream, will be the huge factor on determining who should be on the mics.

Chemistry is a huge factor as well, and well for me there are people that i can work better with, than others.

The main thing is i don’t know if brent just wants whoever to run and jump on the mics to fill spots or if he wants a team of people.

And yes, i like the fact that i’m the queen of commentary in the nw. Diva powers activate!

Do you really not understand anything anybody posts? Nobody said “Dreamcast ST at NWM, we demand it!”. Elias just said now that HDR is no longer EVO standard, there’s less reason for people to play the version they like less. You jumped in to defend HDR when nobody was attacking it. Geo participated in logical discussion. You should follow his example. If you’re going to be juvenile and make irrelevant personal attacks, PM me. This thread does NOT need to turn into that.

This isn’t even about HDR or ST, so i dont know where you got im trying to defend HDR. If you want to go back to ST for NWM, geo & my point is that it will be quite a hassle having to switch out consoles & bringing two different sticks & who knows how many people actually have a dreamcast stick. This will turn off potential people from competing cuz of no sticks. If you stick w/ HDR be it remix or classic you would have less headaches…

The thing is we need to keep SF2 alive. I really hope Brent won’t abandon it like EVO did.

It will be in Hotel Deca which is in U district across the street from the neptune theatre, it is a part of a new expo, Seattle Retro Gaming Expo.

The tournament part is largely autonomous, but im going to be running it…so far confirmed games are Arcade ST, MK 9, MvC3, Blaze Blue CS. If KOF XIII gets released freaking ever it will be included too.

You don’t/didn’t see a lot of people breaking out dreamcast and sticks because HDR is/was the tournament standard. Dreamcast is IMO the easiest console to lug around and hook up wherever. Helluva lot smaller and lighter than xbawx and ps3.

I’m not arguing that it’s more convenient but in case you missed the memo a lot of us ST players don’t enjoy HDR as much. We were not playing it because it was more convenient, we were playing it because we kinda had to if we still wanted to play SF2 competitively.

Like kuenai said, all I’m doing is pointing out that when HDR was newer, all the crying was about how we had to play HDR now. That obligation is gone. All I’m saying. Super turbo revival, come see me son. Now before people get more upset because we’re cluttering their topic, take it to the ST thread or PM me if you still don’t understand the point I’m making. I know you like HDR and that’s totally okay. I was really talking to the people who hate it. I didn’t say shit about making ST the tournament standard. Relax.
