well i work mostly in the admissions office/Pro Shop at the Kent Valley Ice Centre…but whenever i close by myself i’ll be doing ice cuts in addition to basic closing procedures, i just need to get comfortable on the machine itself.

It has been suggested to me via PM that I clarify. Yes, the ST tournament will go on as scheduled this Friday night at 11PM. XTG stated earlier in this thread that he should be in attendance. Even if he should get hit by a bus, Alex will be bringing his copy of CCC2. So we’re covered.
Regardless, we’re in Seattle, so if you play fighting games, you need to be playing MvC2. The Marvel tournament begins at 9PM this Friday night at Zach’s, and costs $5 to enter. Please bring correct entry fees. Failure to participate in the Marvel tournament will be considered an unpatriotic act, and you may be deported.
I was going to equate not entering the Marvel tournament to loving Al-Qaeda. However, such a statement would have been in poor taste. So I won’t mention it. Ever.

- It was nice to finally meet Sean Graham.

- Contrary to expectations, Frank did not /godumb. This despite getting his first tournament point.
- It was good to see Josh Ray for the first time in 6 months. Come out of your cave more, man.
- Thanks to Josh Ray for paying his entry fee in quarters. A really classy move.
- Congrats to zass for taking his 3rd consecutive ST tournament.
- I heard there was controversy during the ST tournament. Sorry I missed the fisticuffs.
- I was even more of a dick than usual. I didn’t know that was possible.
- Playing CotA and War of the Gems brought a wave of nostalgia over me. It also reminded me why MvC2 is a good game. Despite criticism from its detractors, MvC2 remains far and away the most balanced and least broke of game of this series. Still, thanks to zass for giving us that chance to indulge in our lost youths.
- Nate took the free CotA side tournament with Omega Red. He was followed by David with Psylocke, and Julien with Spiral.
- Despite how Asian immigrants dominate national spelling bees, I got crushed in Scrabble. I guess I’m too black. After all, Zach won the second game, and Jason (a self proclaimed banana) took the first one.
- I have rightfully reclaimed my title as the worst player in Seattle. Take that, David!

Paul says he probably isn’t up to do this much anymore, as he has to get up for work every saturday, and this is killing him. So… I might be showing up alone, unfortunately. Thanks to everyone for playing COTA and Marvel. People were really scary good in Marvel, I don’t think I won a round from anyone. But it was still fun.
I had a really good time playing COTA. Thanks to David for an awesome match, it game down to round 3 of third game, and we did a double KO. Then we had sudden death - David processed the implications faster than I did and threw a psiflash, and I didn’t think fast enough to do homing swords. Really fun match.
Nate I really enjoyed our match too.
I really liked COTA. It felt like less of a combo game and more of an understanding the matchups game to me. Thanks to everyone who indulged me and joined the tournament.
Thanks to Deezo and Zach for a good explanation of MvC2. Up until now I thought MvC2 was a combo game like XvSF, but it seems there’s a lot more depth to it than I thought.
