Hey Cole, I was wondering if it would make more sense to just bump the higher player DOWN ONE RANK instead of trading places with the person who challenged them. (e.g. Awesome Jones at 21 beating Bitq at 15; it would result in Awesome Jones at #15 and Bitq at #16) It would seem better to do this that way as more matches are played with people, the tier list will eventually sort itself out with everyone in their appropriate ranks. Does this make sense?
Good Idea AwesomeJones, the only problem with it is that by doing that, it makes it so everyone under you must move 1 spot down. So people would be losing their places without even playing. Cause If Bitq goes to 16, what happens to current 16? he goes to 17? then so on and so fourth. Would not be very fair for others cause people could effect their rank without being able to defend.
Please keep coming with the Ideas, im open to all. This is just designed for fun and to help people level up as well as play people they do not normally get to play against.

I actually like this idea better. In the last iteration of the rankings, I probably sat idle in the middle of the list for like 5 months and never played a single challenge match. A system like this will keep the active participants on the list and will slowly bump out the idlers. Also, it provides some motivation, because if I’m bumped down as a result of someone ranked under me beating someone ranked over me, then I’ll be forced to play more to defend my ranking instead of staying at #18 for months and months just because I played one ladder match back in April.
With a system like this, it also makes every position relevant. Right now it seems like the only people that matter are the top 3 players in each tier… everyone else can just sit there and not really be a part of it. The rankings of those people in the middle are not important because people will just swap above and below them all day and they remain unaffected and without value as their spot doesn’t allow them to rank up tiers.
Very good Point Zafo. You and AwesomeJones have made me see it in a whole different perspective. I think I would like to test this idea out.
How do others feel about this direction with the challenge board?
If the majority agree, I would like to implement the change now and put it to practice.

It gets my approval mainly because im not the one thats gonna have to rotate all the names down one on the board every time theres a challenge cause that shit would get tedious like if number 5 challenged number 2,then he takes number 2 and former number 2 is now 3 and now you gotta move 4 till where ever the list ends down one, good idea but tedious for the person updating the board if you are still doing it on the quark board like last time

perhaps updating the list every week would help cole with the frequent updates. also, maybe the matches, organized by the players, should be limited to be one (or a few) a week or something. i bring this up also because bitq challenged me right after i challenged him in the same day. maybe there should be a period that allows me to challenge someone above me, before i get knocked down? just throwing that out there
