you can’t ex greenhand on reaction to stop sign. that’s why it’s easy to bait ex greenhand with neutral jump. meterless gief has no options…but if he meter…bait the ex and honda gets free combo. ESPECIALLY online where you don’t react, you just do.
if i had to put my money on honda vs gief…i’d easily put it on honda. i think honda has more than slight advantage.
if gief tries to crossup, you can do ex buttslam correct way and it’ll hit him out. that’s why most gief’s try to jump early and bait it for spd reversal.
the thing is, sometimes people have a false sense of how a matchup works until they play against someone who has played the matchup like 100 times and knows the counter. that’s why at sb4 i’m hoping i know my matchups better than the other guy :).
He tried to nj a few times, and I just ex green handed him out of it because I was standing in my standing strong range almost 100% of the time trying to bait a jump or anything. I wasn’t jumping in like a retard.

i think honda def has the advantage, shk is realy good vs gief as well as n.jfp of course. honda can also take alot more damage than most so that helps.

well. gief should never be able to get into s.strong range. and i dunno man, i played shekeib’s gief a lot with honda and from what i gathered, it looks like gief has a REALLY hard time getting in. he has to make really good guesses and imo, the character that has to guess more is at a disadvantage.
seems like the matchup is retarded, like balrog vs honda retarded. because i can’t imagine honda having an easy time getting in on gief when he’s behind.
