Depends on the team. I use him second because of my Raw Tag OTG (check my channel to see it with Frank and a video explaining it), I need the OTG last and the tag partner second. It does too much damage to pass up, and is mad stylin’.
Same. Rapid Slash sucks for Jill. That was the first one I tried once opening the game.
My team from MvC3; Jill (y), X-23 (b) & She-Hulk (b) is still good in UMvC3. I had to make a couple adjustments to some combos but all in all, the 3 work really good together. Totally <3 Jill… dood!
I’m working on a Jill (Arrow Kick)/Chris (Gun Fire M)/Spencer (Slant Shot Grapple). Using Chris for both other characters to advance forward with it having decent hit stun to combo off of. Spencer makes good air lock. Jill makes a good substitute for what Crhis now lacks a good wall bounce and also an advancement tool for Chris.
Jill/Frank/Dante seems pretty good, if only I could actually play a half-decent dante.
Can someone help me think of a good third for my team? Right now it’s Jill/V.Joe/Morrigan, but with Somersault I don’t need an AAA, Soul Fist assist is meh and Jill still builds a decent amount of meter with her combos so DH isn’t needed. I have Joe mostly for extended combos after 623A so I guess he can be dropped too.
Basically I really want to main Jill and I’m not sure what kind of assists she needs. I feel that she would be great with Wesker’s gunshot but I’m not sure if I want ot use him. This is scrubby, I know, but it always seems like a cop out when someone says “I man insert obscure character here” but the main reason they win is because of Wesker being Wesker.
I have been using Jill (sommersault) with Frank (Shopping cart) and Doom but I don’t know which of Doom assists to use, any advice?

I’m having a great deal understanding marvel. So i’m sorry if this is a very basic question. why is a beam assist best for jill? I really dont like rapid slash. It wors when I’m already in but it doesn’t really help me get in and stay in. I’ve been using taskmaster as his arrows really fit the flow of the match for me. Rapid slash is a little too to get used to. I still have a hard time converting after a hit.
I really should pic up doom. Doom is silly good in this game and I’m thinking plasma beam might be my best choice. The team im running now is Jill, vergil, wesker. I dont like this team at all. It could work, but doesn’t work for me.
Jill needs an otg i feel. My BNB hits only like 400k. I need to extend a little bit more. I also needs to hit raven strike to do decent damage.
A lot of talking…for this question. If I use doom on my team, what OTG assist should I be using? If an OTG assist isnt needed, i’d like to know.
OH. An idea i’ve been trying is mastering mad beast. I’ve been trying to put in a lot of work in controlling this hyper so I can put her 2nd or 3rd. XF mad beast should be really fearsome and should be a really strong tactic. She should be a strong Jean Grey.

If you want strats on how to play Jill look up Pulsr, if you want to style/do alot of damage. Check my stuff.
Also, IM Unibeam is easily the best beam assist, but there are other good ones like Shopping Cart and Rapid Slash.
What’s your bnb? 400k is… really bad. Is this a meterless combo or something?
2nd, maybe, 3rd, unlikely. That hyper is way too vulnerable to runaway. I suggest a projectile/lockdown assist with it, that way you can at least do some major guaranteed chip damage.
not to just jump in here, but I have been playing Jill on an alternate team in Vanilla, then when Ultimate came around she is a blast and I am planning on using her full time now. I was wondering if I could get some opinions on the team I have been rocking, as well as a variant. Jill/Spencer/Skrull with Skrull replaced by Doom on teams that she has trouble getting in on, at least until I grow more familiar with her.
I have been mainly using combos into her air medium knee drop into C reset shenanigans with Spencer’s assist, or using Skrull/Doom assist to make it safer to get in.
is jill a good anchor?
I think she’s a workable anchor thanks to mad beast. But if you can’t really control her lvl 3 (its fuckin hard) then I would say no.
I have her on anchor though I usually switch her in mid game. Agreed about mad beast; being able to use it is important. But with her speed, overheads, left right and throw options I think she’s a pretty good anchor.
Mad Beast combos are stupidly easy since they float so high now ;0
What are you using for your MB combo? Most of the times I use it it’s on block to start off the chip/lockdown shenanigans.
