Doom, Dante, Skrull, Mags, maybe Ammy.
After looking at this list of anchors, I can see why they all work better with taskmaster, but I feel like I’d miss having extended combos with Jill. I’m guessing assist extended combos aren’t that important for Jill? I always thought the double knee drop after arrow kick otg looked so cool.
Can Jill still do sufficient damage by herself without an otg assist? I really want to be able to one touch death zero with one dhc… That character is way too annoying to leave alive.
I’m using Jill/Doom/Sent as a second team, Jill can get 800k with 2 assists and 1 bar mid screen, and I get the whole arrow kick-knee drop deal as well. Zero has about 830k so it would be shy of the 30k needed by herself anyway, but the combo gains so much meter killing him would be quite easy since it gains more than a bar. I wouldn’t want to leave Zero alive either though lol. I wish I had the proper equipment so I could make a short video of it.
I wish I could go Sentinel for my anchor since his assist is so godlike for combo extension and horizontal coverage, but I think he’s a pretty ‘meh’ anchor. What do you think of this team: Jill (Arrow Kick)/Wesker (Low Gunshot)/Dante (Weasel Shot)
I could still use the hard tag set up with Dante that was mentioned in the combo thread I think and I think that does some pretty crazy damage. And both Jill and Wesker benefit from Dante’s Weasel Shot. I’m gonna miss Taskmaster though haha.
What does everyone think of this team?
Jill (Somersault Kick)/Rocket Raccoon (Pendulum)/Iron man (Smart Bomb)
Most of the time online, I can complete the Flip kick combo and the arrow kick combo with this team.
If you want to stick with those charcters I think you should switch iron man and rocket raccoon. Iron man benefits way more from rocket raccoon’s assist and in terms of anchor ability I’m not too familiar with both characters, but I think rocket raccoon could do better as an anchor thanks to his digging move where he can cross under the opponent and mix them up.
Rocket raccoons assist eliminates Jill’s wall bounce which is bad. Actually, your problem is just the raccoon, Jill and Ironman are pretty decent together, but use ironmans unibeam assist for Jill so she can get in. Ironman goes better first or second, but not as a anchor imo.
I see you use strider as well, why not Jill/Ironman/Strider?
How would I be able to use Strider to benefit Jill?
I can use Strider to his maximum potential, but I haven’t found a way to use him fittingly with Jill, other than bring Jumping characters down to the ground OTG
She can set up arrow kick-knee drop with striders assist. If NSR was around at the moment, im sure he could elaborate more. At least striders assist keeps them on the ground where you want them with jill, seeing as how aerial opponents are not her strong point.
Ok, I might just go with Jill/Iron Man/Strider again, Ugh I sense lots of time in the Lab.
If there was an achievement for spending certain amount of time in practice, I would have gotten it by the 3rd day vanilla came out.
I’m curious, is it possible to get Jill and Vergil into a team? Personally having trouble with what assist to use for Jill since they’re mostly for combo extension. I know Vergil would be good since his Rapid Slash assist is good when you need some breathing room or to keep up pressure. My only problem is how to make this combination work if possible and who would be a 3rd member for this team.
I really like Vergil as a character, but I find that his rapid slash doesn’t help Jill too much since the pushback usually doesn’t let you follow up for a combo. Thus, if you’re going to use vergil’s assist I think you should use it for combo extension if possible. As for the third character I think sentinel would be godlike on a Jill/Vergil team. Despite my distaste towards anchor sentinel, in this case I think the drones would be really amazing for both characters. Another option could be doom but I think sentinels assist is better than dooms hidden missiles or his beam in this case (although the beam could work Pretty well too)
If you’re wondering about combo extension for Jill, I think you can do a standard jump loop, call Vergil, hit s, then launch them down with m m h s. Afterwards you might be able to follow with a Arrow kick/double knee drop ender. I’m not entirely sure though so you may have to experiment.
So the Jill/Vergil combination is possible, but i’d have to use an OTG assit to be effective? Honestly, I don’t see myself using power type characters like Sentinel or Thor, Nemesis is a maybe. Not entirely sure of what assists I should use, still getting used to the whole 3 vs 3 concept rather than 1 on 1 like most fighters. I’m trying to avoid Wesker if possible, like him as a character, but see way too many of him, lol.
Nah man you don’t need an otg assist. When I said sentinel I meant sentinel drones, possibly the best lockdown/horizontal assist in the game. If you want the arrow kick double knee drop ender you don’t need an otg assist. If you don’t like sentinel, doom beams/missiles or magneto beam could work too since both Vergil and Jill rely on long range horizontal assists for their approaches. Any beam with Vergil teleport is amazing. Horizontal assists help Jill a lot when she’s making her approach too. Other viable characters include hawkeye, taskmaster, or ammy. If you want your Jill to have an assist extended combo try searching and asking in the Jill combo thread. I’m pretty sure they can get a way for Vergil and Jill to work together. The combo I listed in my previous post should work in the corner. Mid screen probably not, but you can always cancel from the rapid slash straight into machine gun spray and it should work.
Jill/Vergil/Doom is a great team imo, vergil can use dooms assists for combo extensions and lockdown. There DHC is very strong as well from Jill to Vergil.

If I was going to use a Jill/Vergil team I would use sent or doom to back them.

Too Dame Sexy…! I’ve been trying out Modok/Jill and they have pretty good synergy, but there no where near as fun as Jill/Mags.

I wonder if Jill - y, Trish - y, and Strider - y would work. Jill’s somersault would work as an anti-air, Trish low voltage would be a way to get in, and Strider Vajra would be a lockdown.
I dont really see good damage potential for that team, but it could work. I like Trish though as a overall character. You would have a good alpha counter with Jill “y”, but as a anti air its not too reliable, it can be used to mix up though cause it is pretty quick. NRC used to play Jill/Frank/Strider, that shopping cart is probably great for Jill.
So I think I’ve figured out the Jill team for me. I’ve been running Jill (Arrow)/Mags (Disruptor)/ Ammy (Cold Star). Magneto and Ammy act as a great natural shell and I think both of their assists really enhance Jill’s mixup (Cold Star for the lockdown and Disruptor for the left/right). Does anybody have some words of advice on how I could improve this team?
