thats all great but since theres talk about tourneys however for fun they maybe, its still more serious then casual why should people have to play on those sticks i dont understand it. u want me to put up with the sticks? why would i wana do that it makes very little sense to me its like wearing and old ass shirt with holes even though u got another brand new one in the closet. if ur scared that game ware is gonah draw off peoplefrom cortana, i doubt it will most of the people play at cortana because of people and location not machines as we all kno. i dont understand why a tourney should be based around the sp machine when NO has a better machine…the only people that say that the sticks are ok at sp are yall khang says they suck most everyone infact who doesnt frequent that place thinks so. if u want to hold 3s there fine, but i wont be surprised if the drawout will be like last time like what 6-7? thats lame. dont put the spot above the community u dont wana go play at gameware on a regular basis thats fine u have made it clear in the past but some of us do.the question is why exactly do u want people not to play at GW but at SP? is it because it would be easier for U? i think u missunderstand my post as an attack or attacks from my posts at sp, i like sp its a nice place the machines leave something to desire thats all dont worry im very chill on the subject if it matters that much to u even i wont mention it again, i like to think we are cool with eachother so its no problem.
ok for everyone who thinks the sticks are bad on 3s, come to the mall sunday and i will do an inspection on them and show they are working perfect. if raleigh comes with me he can actually school everyone who doesnt know what a good joystick is and maybe finally we wont have to use the joysticks as a scape goat. i’ll talk to reggie tommorrow and get everything straight.
actually i like sp better than any arcade in LA except maybe the klub, but since northgate is gone (RIP) and fun arcade in new orleans east is closed sp is really a good arcade if u think about it.
I 3s is at mall of la everyones over there playin (me too) all hype, 3s atmopshere is all over, thick, but after a few weeks everyone that was complaining about the sticks at sp are “still” complaining about something at gameware. 3s falls off everyone becuz everyone realized well dang it wasn’t so much the sticks as it was myself. The hype die’s no really coming to play 3s anymore, and since the marvel crowd isn’t as important as the latest greatest game, there not much to keep us the hardcore gamer’s coming back.
they work fine, no doubt about it… the problem is that you have to pretty much input each motion by itself since sliding is gay as hell on them… they work perfect, they just feel like you move the stick around a stop sign… thats all… still i guess ill be there sunday to play brydon and complain about playing on the sticks:p

Ya know, I didn’t know everybody played 3s like that. When I thought it was popular (the time when it wasn’t anywhere but on SU campus 
) no body but like 3 or 4 people I knew played the game well enough to be recognized. Now everybody’s on it. It’ll be nice if Gameware hurries up, because I’d like to expose my Chun-Li. Nobody talks about her, maybe because they don’t know, but that’s the character to play if you want speed and versatility as well as power.
thatll happen only if people dont learn how to play the game, we have enough people that know the game to give help so if that indeed happens all it will mean is that the people who fall off wernt serious enough about 3s to start with and nothing can help that.
Sigh, joysticks…very important yes, but is it the ONLY important factor, I think not. Execution is also important…dare I say more so, because you won’t always play on a “perfect” joystick. I mean really, a lot of them are different. You gotta adjust, if you travel out of state for a tourney…well you’re owned before you even play because it’s different and you can’t adjust. Did any of you ever stop to look at yourselves and say…“Damn, I suck.” or maybe even “Damn, I can’t do this…maybe I should practice.”? Probably not, too difficult and it’s much easier to blame something else. But as Brydon says…“I am never a failure until I begin blaming others.” (Although I don’t agree, it makes sense here…screw it…i just like how it sounds) And sure, sometimes your complaints are valid, and the joysticks really aren’t functioning properly…but there are those other times…90% of the times…when YOU are at fault. (I won’t name anyone specifically) Why is it I can hit a dp on SPs joysticks? Basically, you have shty execution. Plain and simple, the cure is practice. I’ve even played a guy in texas on bomb ass joysticks, probably p360s…and yet even still, he continued to complain about not being able to pull stuff off. So…yeah…it’s an operator problem. The people in question, I know for a fact that the execution just isn’t there. And i’m not the only one who thinks so…IN TEXAS, I asked a TOP PLAYER if one of the people in question was good…he replied…“He knows what he’s doing…but he has shitty execution.” True story…blarg. I’ve said too much…basically…the defeated dog barks loudest.

It doesn’t have anything to do with sp…or the joysticks…cuz those people complain on mas sticks…p360s…their on PERSONAL MADE JOYSTICKS. But no shadowcharlie I did not say your name…but maybe you fit the description perfectly, ya? And my source is pretty known…at least in the GGXX world lol.

sitdown cabinet…not again. gumball sticks…not again. im not one to ever complain about joysticks but i stress i cannot play on a gumball stick because my hands are too big. sit down cabs are cool if they give u enough leg room, which the previous ones didnt.
and yes, nick is right again. sp = obsolete? guess what, marvel tournies > all other tournies, and where will they be? at the obsolete arcade of course. why play 3s when u can play marvel? we only play 3s because are waiting to play marvel. period.
This cab definitely has leg room on both sides (I’m 6’2" and I’ve got no problem – Richard is 6’3", no problem), and the monitor is absolutely massive. The entire machine is way bigger than the Neo 25.
If enough people complain about the authentic sticks, we can put in P360’s. This entire arcade is about accommodating our customers, so let us know if you have any suggestions.
And like I said, we’re not against getting MvC2 again. I know our old cab sucked, but we got stuck with that one from our previous distributor. Now that we’re buying our own machines, we’re bringing nothing but quality. If we do get a Marvel cab, it’ll probably be on a 41" screen like GGXX Reload will be.
We’re not trying to kill Spaceport – just offering the community games and cabinets they can’t find anywhere else. We’ll also have tournaments in GGXX Reload, 3rd Strike and DDR Extreme coming up this summer, so keep an eye out.
