fact is the marvel community is still a lot bigger than any other game in br. scrubs will come for a while and play reload, it has a steep learning curve at first so many will venture away once they get owned. marvel on the other hand, has a foundation built. if u get all the marvel players in ur arcade, they will play all the rest of the games as well. thus more profit than what ggxx would ever bring in.
but if u want to cater to the few who do play ggxx, the do so. cuz theres only about 3-4 ggxx players in br. and im sure those 3-4 wont make the game profit over the cost of the purchase.
no hate, just facts. a tired 4 year old game is the hottest 2d game around, only sc2 makes more money as far as fighters go.
As I said before, the MAJOR problem with Gameware’s marvel machine from before was that it sucked horribly. Not that I think it will make a lot of money there or anything, but the controls were VERY bad.
I have a question about the virtua fighter machine. Are the buttons still horribly spaced out? If not, i’ll make a trip there and destroy all challengers
haha i suppose your onto something, but the reason we dont need those marvel players there to play other games is because they suck at everything else and we wanna get better not drop levels… thus, get rid of the marvel machine.
however, gameware is nowhere close to needing lots of people to come in play games so they can make money… as it stands, a shitload of people already go there… more come everyday… and when they get 3s:bluu: even more will come (that goes for reload also)
Marvel players in Baton Rouge can beast all the “3S / GGXX” players in 3rd Strike…while simply playing the game as a minor distraction…
you should realize by now that Marvel has the highest level of competition for any fighter in the U.S. by far…so cut the foolishness and get a dose of reality.
oh i dont doubt it has the highest level of comp… that 3s detail will change, btw back when justin played he would kill all marvel players in 3s… when richard and ben get back to playing… the same will happen

If you play marvel hardcore “more than likely” you can play any fighting decently and say what you want, but thats the truth. I say this becuz marvel is incorparates fighting game mech’s from just about all fightin games. (just about)

nah i don’t mean just sf, i mean all typa fighting games, it has all the basic sf with even more over the top stuff. dhc, unblockables, assist, etc, etc. plus you basic’s from the sf seires. It even started the tag switch craze in fighting game. all it needs is finishing moves ultra combo’s and parrying. :lol:
About five different people come in each day asking when we’re getting GGXX Reload, meanwhile not a single person has come to the counter saying “Aww, where’d Marvel go?” because they have three new fighters to play and 3rd Strike & Reload to look forward to.
Soul Calibur 2 made good money here before the console version came out, then went down to about $25 a week. There’s no SC2 comp in BR anymore. Same with Tekken and VF 4 Evo (another Gameware exclusive).
We might get a Marvel machine a few months down the line, but right now we’re focusing on bringing in new players with brand new games. After we get our next shipment of games, if people want to keep going to Spaceport just to play one game, that’s up to them.

granted not having unblockalbes is a pretty big thing but no one plays urien (for now that is >=) ) or whateva other character that has it to even complain about it not being there. Thats like all of us playing marvel and complaining about how sent didn’t have his unblockable, but no one in the state played sent!! non majinvegita trey plays urien… in fact he was at gameware today wondering when 3s was coming in because hed rather play the real 3s version… i personally dont care about unblockables on 3s because i play ken and it only helps me out… i just wish the sticks werent broken in as bad as they are… even so… i might, if i get more practice, get in on one of those 3s sp tourneys assuming brydon is there…
also… i hear from ben that they are going to pickup the 3s machine from bryan tomorrow… so it should be in around july…
