LET me tell everyone in hear about joysticks and buttons. NO ONE IN THIS THREAD has any experience with working or fixing joysticks besides maybe benmonkey? mike and solaris u dont know shit about that 3s cab. me and coworkers at northgate have went inside the cab and replaced the buttons and switches, checked the actuators, and even repositioned a button or 2. there is probably NOTHING WRONG at all with the joystick. every joystick is basically the same. the only reason u feel a difference in the one in marvel and the one in 3s is because of the cabinet and how its layed out or if the joystick has a different spring in it. if i recall, the marvel had a harder spring in it than 3s had, thus why 3s is looser. and still that has 0, and i mean things to do with executing basic moves like a dp or a fireball.
solaris how can u say the joysticks on ggxx in br sucked? it was p360, the only reason they were hard to play on because they definatley were brand new and havent even gotten broken into yet. those joysticks are tight and if u werent such a gumby maybe u could actually move the joystick around.
i can bring u an 8way joystick or even tell reggie let me see one and instruct to u guys on how it works. or even better, ill tell whoever is working there let me go inside 3s and show u EXACTLY why the joystick is in working order, hell test mode can show u that.

yes so did i the 50/50 is no problem the UNblockables which are 100% garanteed do not work, iv actually seen trey do the setups and the oponent block them in the last tourney, the other trey not majin trey.
the oro gumball unblockable doesnt work either, the problem stems from the fact that the revised version lets u block both ways while true 3s u can only block one direction thus getting hit from 2 side results in a state of getting hit

edit: yes the cab in sp was in northgate before. it was at sp first then it came to us, we fixed a few minor things, got it working fine. we sent it back to reg before our store closed and it was still working fine. reggie isnt the worlds best manager but i know him and what he tends to do with games. trust me, i know the machine is still kept well. dont make me prove it.
not having the unblockables…affects maybe 1 out of 200 matches… I think we can live without 'em

8 ways should feel like a circle when you make a 360 motion but you should be able to feel the buttons pressing in as you make that motion… like i said before…sp, no circle… stop sign

Obviously you all havent felt the power of true unblockables. Urien, my main character, is pretty much based on unblockable setups. Sure i can do mixups or whatever, but unblockables are what makes Urien special to me. I prolly can pick SA1 (tyrant slaughter) and try to win, but thats no fun to me. I love the feeling of people being helpless to excrutiating damage :mad: . I’m practicin dudley though just in case of machines like that. So now either way the beast will be unleashed.

As Mike explains, you have to be hit from behind AND in front with something. Like a slow-ass fireball, get on the other side of it, and attack. Only a few characters are capable of doing this in an actual match.
You could just check this thread, though. I swear, there is a 3rd strike strategy section for something. :lol:
