and how the hell is possible that you do whiff punish on point? I CAN NEVER DO THAT CRAP, whiff punish on reaction is way better than GUESSING and push a button, but how come people ignore all the other fact and just shoot for the move they are looking for and whiff punish? like don’t even need to spare energy looking for: slide, jump in, their meter, their position, what they expecting etc etc.
I need some real training advise, something I can work on and can refine it, for instance where and when is good choice to focus.
I don’t understand is sometime I have urge so bad that if they do something and they get away, I want to do same thing and get away or test out to see how they gonna punish…

^meter is key in the mirror. Also, use mk some more to stop scissor kick pressure. You focus when he has no other choice but to block or he does devils reverse. For example, in the middle of a bnb…like do cr lp st lp cr mk (pause) focus keep the pressure on for a possible mixup. When hes tryin to do cr lk cr lk cr lk xx sk use your meter. Do ex psycho crusher. If you hit him with it he wont try to do it again. And use ultra 2, that will stop him from spamming devils reverse. Dont walk to him!!! make him come to you! that’s why you got hit with those slides. Also, learn to punish as hard as possible when u have the chance…jump in fierce or roundhouse into cr lk cr lk cr lk xx sk isn’t gunna do much damage…
well I play defensive, and I using UC1 is to shut down couple of his option, I don’t really worry about devil reverse because if he do it wrong I can dash forward and RH that, UC1 punish jump in, punish cross up psycho, punish wake up ultra 2 ( my one don’t come out in the vid, but normally if they try a mix up for ultra 2, my ultra gonna hit them, and it can be auto corrected) if he lose cross up psycho, and ultra 2 mix up, I don’t even need to do devil reverse (in future I will just NEVER do those move again, just footsie)
but lets said, to punish devil reverse with meter? or use ex psycho on cr.lk x 3 scissor situation? I thought you can’t really do it because in that range he can st.mk for punish if he blocks it…
beside ex psycho, what normal I can use if he did cr.lk x3 and scissor? I thought st.mp/st.mk gonna stuff it but it really not working as I expected.

God damn that video was shaky as hell, I only see 2 Dictators humping the ground more than concentrating on the match…since you are playing offline don’t forget to use that cr.lk>s.HP frame trap, that match is all about who gets the life lead, and who puts who in the corner.
You can also auto correct with Ultra 1, if Bison is trying to cross up PC you after a lk scissors

This a tourney i got 4th at last weekend…It was vs Atl joel ryu…I did aight the first match but i just lost sight of my game plan and just handed him the fight. My game plan was just to jump over fire balls cuz that is what he likes to do and catch him with a jump in while running the clock out to fustrate him. Any critique is welcomed…i feel i can beat him if i just remained focus with the game plan and run the clock. .

Starting 1st round. 1st thing i notice is you cant handle his fireball: 2x fail fadc through a fireball (Lets say its because of tournament nerves)
You than decide to jump in, which he luckely failed to anti air. Though it was kinda obvious since you didnt wanna block the fireballs and was failing the fadcs.
A really good ryu would not let you jump in for free, ever. So ur just taking a big guess here.This aint xbox live. You had no meter, so if he did anti air and started pressuring you, you had no escape because he can OS ur teleport since its your only escape.
The basic gameplan against is FADC through his fireballs into poke/scissor range, or build asap meter so you can use ex scissors through his fireballs.
Meanwhile never forget you can always block a fireball, gain some ground, block fireball again and gain some ground again. 5x bl;ocked fireballs is nothin more than a mk on hit.
Your not anti airing him at all, giving him alot of free pressure. A decent reaction with cr.hp beats Ryu’s jumpins (Hk is really unreliable against most shotos as anti air)
Dont use Ultra 2 if you cant use it on reaction. U2 isnt that good at all. You need epic reactions or good reads against ryu’s fireballs. U1 is good enough (Look at Shungoku Neurosis, or Gagapa)
@1:30 the punish just plain sucks, you could have gotten more dmg out of that, or throw him. Bisons throwsettups into safejumps or unblockables are really good against ryu!
Dont do headstomps mid screen randomly. There are 3 situations where u can use headstomp. After lkscissr on hit, in the corner or a fast reaction on a fireball.
Your not using any frametraps in your blockstring at all. Why? All i see is either scissor or throw. Give him a reason to stop cr.teching/st.throwing.
It might sounds a bit harsh what im sayin but you should really develope your bison. atm your jplaying a flowchart bison.
You aint gonna win tournaments with a gameplan like: Im just gonna do like… short short scissor

Level 1 focus attack then a dash-in, does not have much frame advantage. You’re better off dashing-back or if you have already dashed forward, then teleport back afterwards. So try not to dash in and attempt a blockstring after a level 1 focus as much.
If you react to your opponent’s jump-in too late, and it’s too late to anti-air, then use FA to absorb the hit and backdash.
Oh and where possible, if you manage to confirm into lk scissors, replace that with HK scissors or even PC to maximize damage output.
Regarding U2. I guess you could use it on your opponent’s wake up for the “cross/non-cross up” shenanigan (not really a believer). Otherwise if you activate it, and during the animation you see that your opponent has not pressed a button (with long recovery e.g. down-fierce or sweep) or has not released a fireball, then hold BACK and minimize any possible punish.
