About us:
I’m posting on behalf of Kaos Theory in Murfreesboro, TN. We’re a new gaming center/tournament venue in Murfreesboro, TN trying to reach out to the Middle Tennessee area. Weekly tournaments for fighting games are something we do have scheduled (list will be posted below) along with FPS and sports games. The venue has 20 different stations all with 42’ televisions and Xbox360s/PS3s/Wiis with a wide selection of games. We do serve sandwiches and drinks, and for those of age, we do also serve beer. That’s just a basic run through of what we do, for all the info regarding the store, you can visit http://www.kaostheory.pro/ , but now I’ll go ahead and post up the tournament info.
Tournament Format/Entry and Payout:
Entry: $10 per game entered (members get reduced price, see store site for more info)
Payout: 1st and 2nd is a 75/25 split.
Format: All tournaments will be a double elimination bracket using best 2/3 until Winners, Losers, and Grand Finals where it will be best 3/5. The exception to this is UMvC3 which will be best 3/5 throughout the entire tournament.
Console: All games will be on Xbox360 EXCEPT Mortal Kombat 9 and Soul Calibur 5. Bring your own stick/controller/converter/whatever you would prefer to use.

Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core (PS2) @ 5pm
BlazBlue: CSE @ 6pm
Persona 4 Arena @ 7pm
King of Fighters XIII @ 8pm
Every Saturday:
Street Fighter X Tekken @ 3pm
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 @ 4pm
Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Editon ver.2012 @ 5pm
Mortal Kombat 9 @ 6pm
Super Smash Brothers Brawl @ 7pm
Soul Calibur 5 @ 8pm
Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 @ 9pm
Again, all the tournaments will be run side by side as they overlap, they are simply staggered to make it easier on the staff and organizers.
Also Mon - Thursday a tournament with the same format will be occurring for the following games:
Mon: Tekken Tag Tournament 2 @ 6pm
Tuesday: Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition ver. 2012 @ 6pm
Wednesday: Super Smash Brothers Brawl @ 6pm
Thursday: Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 @ 6pm
We do expect these tournaments to be smaller than the weekend ones, but the formats are all the same and might help accommodate people of different schedules.
General and Game Specific Rules:
(Most of these are common knowledge and will be available at the venue. However, I will say them here for those curious)
DLC characters will be available across all games EXCEPT for Soul Calibur 5 and the preorder characters for Tekken Tag Tournament 2. In TTT2 we’ll have the newest DLC characters (Slim Bob, Miharu, etc.) but not the preorder chars (Ancient Ogre, Kuni etc.)
No Turbos allowed (of course, but gotta say it)
Pausing the game for any reason will result in a loss of that round, if not applicable then loss of that game. The imminent death rule is in effect however ( If a pause occurs during a cinematic hyper/super/whatever that results in a loss, the winning player will be awarded the win.)
SSBB: Metaknight is banned, item and stage rules are TBD.
UMvC3: TAC infinites ARE legal.
TTT2 and SC5 stage select is random.
In all games, only the loser of the previous game is allowed to change characters/assist/orders. In SF4 winner may switch Ultras. In TTT2 and SC5, the loser may change stages, it must still be random select.
