tha’s not what i was referring to el asshat.
lol he thought Cable unblockable bullet was Guard Break hahahaha
wow.
ummm, i wasnt talkin about the magic bullet whatsoever.
they were on the topic of the only true unblockables.
soooooooooooo i was saying any move that LANDS after a guard break, is an unblockable
i’m not an idiot, i know the difference between a GB and an unblockable
lmao, you fail once again. i wasn’t talking about guardbreaks at all. If you land on cable’s S.HP x 4, and get hit by the last bullet, you cannot block that last bullet. The game stops letting you block when cable fires the last shot. The third hit puts you in block stun, so you block the fourth hit, but if you don’t block the third hit, and land on the fourth, the game takes you out of block mode, and thus wont allow you to block, the same as sentinels’ second hit will hit you, because the game doesn’t know there’s an attack on screen to allow you to block it. I’m not talking about guard breaks at all.
this is all miscommunication, i need to start quoting people more.
^ this was referring to the fact that somebody (J360) said “the only true unblockables are doom and sent”
i just wanted to be a smart ass and mention that anything landed after a GB is a true unblockable.
^i know you werent. i brought the topic of GB’s up myself to elaborate on the move after being an unblockable.
^ this was referring to the quote below me
^ i did not think cables unblockable bullet was just a simple guard break. i’ve been well aware of the unblockable bullet for probably almost as long as you guys. you guys misunderstood me when i brought up the topic of guard breaks while you guys were talkin about the unblockable bullet. i had no intent to affiliate anything i said with cables unblockable bullet
are we all well and understood now hahah?
k…
no offense but thats like saying “any move you land while someone else is throwing out a move is unblockable” =/. thats the obvious.
any move you land after you punch your opponent in the face is unblockable
not really the same, although it is obvious. when somebody throws out a move, they’re not trying to block. before and after a guardbreak, they were blocking and still are trying to block. relates more to true unblockables than a simple landed move. yes i like to be techincal, its part of my name :smokin:
the difference is actually that the game’s mechanics are made to not let you block during a guard break, since you’re only allowed certain moves in normal jump mode… an unblockable, the game doesn’t even realize taht tehre’s an attack on the screen and wont let you go into block mode.
All this talk about his c-hp unblockable, does anyone have the vids to back it up. Id very much like to see this since mag is one of my main characters.
it’s not an unblockable. it randomly switches sides, supposedly even if you use a program pad.
i wouldnt really say its random. i get it everytime i try it. i dont know if its an unblockable, but i’ve yet to have anyone block it on me.
i’m going by what i’ve experienced, and what j360 had to tell me.
heh, from his post earlier in the thread, he said he didnt like it cuz they can mash, or float with storm to try and fuck it up. i’ve never had anyone do that to me, but i dont really think its that possible to mash to fuck it up. the reason is when you go under them, the opponents sprite is still facing away from the corner while you’re kind of behind them. unless they’ve got a weird hitting move that hits behind them, i dont think its too possible if timed correctly. floating, i suppose that could work though.
i’m talking about what he told me directly, as opposed to what he said in the thread.
mind if i ask what he said? just curious if its completely random, or just on certain characters. i’ve messed up on it, but i noticed i just need to be positioned better. anytime i’ve been positioned correctly it hasn’t failed. or maybe its coincidentally because i’ve done it on the same character. heh, then again i dont use that reset too much. just wondering if thats by chance, or if its character specific.
he said that you can do it consistently the same way, and sometimes get the block, and sometimes hold forward and you get the block. i don’t know what characters he was testing it on… waits for josh to post
heh i was bored and went to training mode. on magneto, i hit it every single time. on storm, i hit it a couple times then messed up. then i adjusted to her cuz she falls at a different rate, and got it like 10 times in a row. i tried sentinel, it works too just as long as you dont accidentally combo it. i dont think its random, i think you just need to time it correctly. if you dont, the opponent will just land and the hp will whiff. i have a rubber band on the controller so it would block. everytime the hp touched the sprite, it wasnt blocked. the only question was if it would connect, which i just discovered to be human error if it didnt.
edit: i forgot to try the opponent holding fwd. i’ll do it right now
edit2: can someone help me out here. i feel like a complete fuckin’ tard right now. if the opponent is holding back (i had the manual controller on block) i get pull it off almost every single time. now if i set the controller to hold fwd, it gets 10x harder to connect, as in its more likely to whiff. WHILE holding forward, i did notice that when it DID connect, it was random like mixah/j360 was sayin. sometimes it was blocked. but when it WAS blocked from holding forward, magneto wasnt always behind the opponent like he is when they’re holding back… am i retarded? or is marvel just proving itself weird again
From what I can understand and what Ive done with auto roll and dash in c-lk isnt this just catching the person while they are turning around. And essentially a crossup just hella hard to predict which side its coming from?
