To be fair, that was a couple years ago, I was a freshman in high school, I change, though it kinda worries me that you say my attitude might repell gay people because I have a few gay friends. I’m actually a pretty effimenint guy in appearance, like to keep my hair long and pretty, stay tan, and I’m skinny, so it’s definitely not the way I look. Yep. Really though, I’ve seen more straight people that get offended over it than gay people. That’s actually more annoying than the slurs themselves. I’m not personally offended or angered by it, but I won’t lie, I’m very tired of hearing it, and you won’t see me hanging around anyone who habitually calls things gay or people fags. Maybe if I didn’t have to bite my lip through 7 years of schooling where I heard that word every other sentence, I’d have more tolerance for it. It really depends on your attitude though. Someone laughing something off and being like “hahah, that was hella gay” or something wouldn’t really even trigger a response in my mind, but when the first negative word that comes to someone’s mind (you can tell) is gay or ***, it does bother me.
