I’m pretty sure GG will get some Out of towners too.

:china: Thanks Sytha.

Posted this up at VFDC. Copy and Pasted the info. Linked to the post if they want to PM or e-mail you(let me know if that’s ok) and umm yeah.

Thanks for getting this moving guys, good shit.

I’m curious. What about the finals for each game? Is it gonna have big screen treatment ala Evo?

Has any method been set on how to capture video?

Since this’ll be my first tourney making it to finals, I definitely want the glory of a big screen.

Yea, thats cool.

We are definitely going to do a big screen thing. It is an extra 50$ use the huge projector set up in the room, but it really is huge, and think it may be worth it to have the finals and semi-finals for each tourney up on it.

Preppy agreed to help with capturing video, and I was going to ask one of the Portland guys if they can also help, so Preppy doesn’t have to do it all himself. Two cameras means we could also have match footage and audience reactions for final matches.

I worked out some of the specs for matches yesterday. This is based all on assumption, but assuming that we got about 60 people for marvel (that’s a lot I know) it would take 117-118 matches to complete through finals. If each match took 15 minutes (that includes finding people and getting them set up) it would take 3.5 hours to get them all done running on 8 screens doing a double elimination bracket. Once we get enough pre-regs, it would be great if the people in charge of running brackets could work stuff like that out for each game.

Tri-Cities will definitely be there for this, can’t wait. :woot:

A note about CvS2 on DC: “Taunt” is done with “Short~Start” which might be a problem in tournament play when players try to Taunt K-Groover’s due to a high chance of an accidental pause occurring, that would suck in tourney play. :shake:

^ at your sig.

So… I should get seeded for GG, as should, I think, at least Veteru, Keough, Teyah and maybe Ross, just by results of tournaments throughout the last few months (and I’m sure anyone will vouch for why Vet needs a seed, despite not attending any recently). Let’s not have a repeat of RSWS, with completely unseeded brackets, eh? :china:

Er… Excuse the double-post, but I accidentally sent paypal money without entering a name.

Real name: Alex
Handle: Digital Watches

To confirm, the payment should be from "melissa@ownbykelly.com" (My mother’s Paypal, as I don’t have a credit card to make one with.)

okay, I figured it was you from the last name

got it

I like how its an and maybe ross… I got second ass.

I know, I’m trying to take canada ones into account, since a lot of people who will be at this were at those but not RSWS, sorry if that sounded er… different than I intended. But good point. Seed Ross for sure. :china:

I’ll run Guilty Gear. I can also provide one PS2, one copy of Accent Core, and two televisions (one 20", one 12"). Speaking of which, what’s the hardware situation? How many stations are you hoping to dedicate per game?

I can’t agree more. If the brackets are as gross as last time, I can’t even see myself entering. I’m sure Sytha and I at least will make sure that doesn’t happen though.

30 Marvel set-ups and 2 GG:AC setups

One thing I definitely thing should be improved over random select was how long it took to get ST setups for casuals setup, we didn’t get a HUGE amount of casuals because of that. Minor nitpick though…
