Thank you Brent, you’re THE MAN, not to be confused with THAT GUY. THE MAN.
Great games to everyone I played, and everyone I got to meet, I had a great time. I was running around everywhere and don’t think I even had this much fun at Evo.
By next year (if SF4 Dash hasn’t come into play), you’ll see a new Seth by then. For now, it’s Training Room, mixed with some War Room status.
Hopefully see everyone at PAX.
I’d like to give props to Ghrrk for joining S.I.N. at NWM (That’s right, he rocked Seth like a Cholo. Elbows up, side to side.) Props to Elliot for beating me in the money match, losing is always a bitter but a very great learning experience. Props to Lee and Francis for making it, you guys are awesome to hang with. Props to everyone I played, I’m looking to improve and help everyone learn to play against Seth so that way no one loses to anyone else’s Seth but mine :D. Props to everyone who attended NWM, I don’t think it would have been the same with even just 1 less person, thanks for coming and making it a great experience. Big props to B.C. and Portland for coming, you guys rolled deep and it was great seeing new and familiar faces from Evo, I hope you all had a safe trip home. Pho Thai at 2AM was a blast, the night couldn’t have had better closure than that.
Everyone, take care and don’t live in the Salt Mines of Carthage, we just need to rise above everything and not hate. We are all NW, meaning we all have the love. Just not making unnecessary, ill-mannered, and unwarranted comments about anyone else is what’s going to put us in the right direction.
EDIT: Sucks I don’t even get to know the distance I was away from qualifying, but not qualifying is still not qualifying. Maybe someday I’ll qualify.
Not like it matters, but my pride told me to tell you that it’s mastermind with a lowercase m. =P
If you have a scanner, you can use a virtual printer program like DoPDF to “print” out anything you scan with your scanning software to turn it into a PDF.
Good seeing peeps again and thank you to everyone who helped with Northwest Majors. Good games to everyone I played in 3S and everyone I played in Pool A. So close to top 8 in 4… I hate fuckin up execution and forgetting stuff.
Random side notes:
I can never get a full good 8 hour of sleep on tournament days.
The “men’s lounge” was random. No toilet paper in the other stall? Nasty.
The room was massively big for the amount of people I saw there. Very roomy though.
Playing 3S then SF4 then back to 3S is the weirdest feeling ever.
Tacoma…is ghetto.
Gonna take a nap finally to make up for not sleeping well the last couple days.
Man you guys dont know ghetto till you been in Juarez Mexico and hoping some hobo kid that’s trying to clean your windows dont pull a gun on ya lol. I thought Tacoma was a little rough around the edges, but pretty chill otherwise. Too bad We cant see the results of pool C, Im pretty sure i got 3rd in our pool though, which left a very very bitter taste in my mouth Good shit though Munky.
The bracket for SFIV’s pool C has been located. Unfortunately, it won’t be in my possession till later in the week. Possibly as late as Friday night. But rest assured that I will get the data up eventually into one of the opening posts.
Man, BBH never fails to impress me. If I had half the gaming skills he did I would talk so much shit. For real, the dude can beat Raiden Fighters in with one life. Try it, I dare you. You could probably put him on some random pinball machine and he will beat the top score by 100 million points. That man is a machine.
Thanks to everyone for showing up. Brent did an amazing job and so did the directors. Despite a few logistical set backs the tournament was flawless.
Thanks for putting this together - it was a real pleasure seeing people like the Kennewick peoples, the Oregon crew, and others like Paris I haven’t seen in ages.

I would’ve made it to this had it not been on the other side of the fucking country. Anyway, good shit to all the placers and shouts out to Team Northwest!!
I don’t know where you get off taking on such a big guy persona on the internet. Quit talking about me on a forum I check every other week like you earned it. I’m getting tired of it.
Edit: Good games to everyone I played. Always nice to see Portland come play. It’s too bad I got scraped by all of them.
Links to scans of the brackets in my possession added to the first and second posts. Will get the bracket for pool C later in the week. If Paul posts the brackets that he has electronic versions of, I’ll link to those as well.
Smash results should be posted on AllIsBrawl tomorrow. If I see them, I’ll add them here.
Air is not Airthrow. Air is a BC player who goes to school in Japan. Airthrow was in pool B, look there if you want to see how he placed.
If yes then that’s cool to hear. I’ve seen many of his matches watching the TRF tourney’s on Youtube. It’s good to see that his time and experience in Japan has benefitted him. Hopefully this isn’t the last we see of him in US tourney’s. If no, then congrats on winning anyways. And to top it off, it’s even better that you won with Ryu.
