Sorry for being unclear. I blame the morning and a caffeine headache. I meant it would be the first opportunity for BB:CS to have it’s first major since the console version will be out by then (but not in time for Evo). I mentioned MVC2 since the BB community gave up having BB:CT (the old game) at Evo so that MVC2 could be held on PS3 instead (which I am surprised is even in demand, as that community has always appeared to be Dreamcast-only or nothing).
It’s not my intent to renew any arguments between the two communities. I just wanted to mention having GG and leaving out BB based on the players is pretty weak, although I doubt Elias really meant it, being a GG player sometimes himself.
Anyway, I believe Frank has talked to Jais about this a bit, so I assume the reasoning for BB being left out has already been discussed.

I HEARD that the thing that went down at bloody knuckles is that someone was streaming BB and that got blamed for slowing down the SF4 stream, the BB community claims they asked and were told it was okay to stream. I don’t want to name any names, but I consider the person who said they asked very trustworthy and would be very surprised if he was lying. Maybe he asked the wrong guy or there was a communication error or something. I could also be completely off base, I spent most of my time at the GG setup, and only came over to BB for my matches.
As for GG being stale, right now there are a lot of people who could get first, and at the UW tournament someone placed second who, as far as I know, no one has ever heard of(I certainly hadn’t met him before). Right now top 3 contenders I’d say are, woki, wuku, me, missedFRC, tae, jais, hellsap(if he comes/is still in practice?) and digital watches. All those people have decent shots at the top 3 IMO, and if the robo/eddie player from the UW HUB tournament keeps playing/practicing I’d give him a shot at top 3 as well. Heck if Canada comes down add in paul and ray(i don’t know if that’s actually how he spells his name) probably have good shots also. The question is will canada/oregon come if it’s not a main tourney(or anyone else from far off?).

Why in the hell is their only like 5 games on the line up for a 2 day event and like 4 SSF4 tourny’s? Just looking at all the other Majors that are happening this one looks kinda sad and very bias imo. For me I don’t care about going or not, but just for the other people like the 3s,BB,GG players and etc… If they would include more games in the line up wouldn’t it better for the scene in the NW?
I would guess it might be based off equipment possibilities? I don’t know, but personally, I would like to push for 3rd strike and maybe BB or Guilty Gear.
I mean if the rumored release date still is in existence then I would strongly push for BB. Especially when there is the chance for NWM to have outside of the NW attend. I mean hell, look at EC Throwdown 2. They had games like UMK3, GG and MB.
Also, just thought about this, but Frank, can you also get me a general idea of what the net will be like there?

Again that’s why there’s a BYOC room. If Dustloop would like to hold a BB:CS tournament in the BYOC they are more than welcome too. We can promote it on the site, including having people do online registering but it won’t be a sanctioned NWM’s tournament.
AGAIN, with 5 events, plus tournamentwars playoffs and finals to run 5 is more than enough.
